How Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's Families Feel About Their Potential Divorce - Showbiz Cheat Sheet

It's the end of an era for fans of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. During the week of Aug. 11, both stars confirmed that they've decided to split and end their 10-year romance.

"Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time," Cyrus' representative said in a statement shared with People magazine. "Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers."

The split later became messy when Cyrus kissed Brody Jenner's ex-girlfriend, Kaitlynn Carter, and after she released a song shading Hemsworth's partying ways (which allegedly caused their breakup). But despite their hiccups, some people are holding out on the hope that these two will find their way back to each other — including their own families, apparently.

What the families think about their split

A source told E! News on Aug. 16 that their families are urging them to take time to think about what they truly want before filing for divorce. After all, they've broken up — only to get back together — in the past.

"Their families have urged them to take some time to breathe before they make any final decisions," the insider revealed. "They are both upset about how this has blown up and are both hurting right now."

But, as Cyrus explains in her new song, "Slide Away," things just aren't working out. The source said that before Cyrus and Hemsworth's December 2018 wedding, "they were in a great place," which motivated them to "finally tie the knot." But in the days following the ceremony, the source said, "Their relationship completely changed."

The Hunger Games actor himself has echoed those comments. He told GQ Australia in May that the 2018 California wildfires brought them "closer" and "sped up" their wedding. But once the dust settled, they apparently realized they had deeper issues than they initially thought.

Cyrus and Hemsworth's marital issues revealed

Apparently, these two are just at two very different places in their lives.

"Miley got back in the studio and was focused and serious about her new music," the insider explained. Meanwhile, Hemsworth "was continuing to party with his friends." His behavior reportedly bothered the "Can't Be Tamed" singer, who "outgrew that phase."

"Everyone always thinks Miley is problematic and immature and a hardcore partier while he's this chill surfer dude, but that's actually [not accurate]," a friend of the pair told People magazine on Aug. 14. "Liam parties with his friends, and Miley thinks he should've grown out of that by now."

So, will Cyrus and Hemsworth divorce?

According to an Aug. 13 report from People, Cyrus isn't rushing to file for divorce, as she and her estranged hubby of eight months feel that a separation suits them best at the moment.

"They are having a break right now because they needed it. It was a bad situation with a lot of disagreements," a source close to Cyrus told the publication. "They both agreed it's better to spend time apart, but this doesn't mean their relationship is completely over."

That's great news for their fans and their families.

They've Hung Out Before:

Just one week ago, Vave and Foxx were together in the Hamptons.

She posted tons of photos and video showing the duo together.

They danced and sang alongside stars like Run DMC and the Black Eyed Peas.

Katie Holmes didn't seem phased that her longtime boyfriend Jamie Foxx was seen leaving a club with a woman other than her.

The actress was spotted in New York City sporting a giant smile on her face just hours after photos emerged of Foxx with model and singer, Sela Vave.

Meanwhile, nearly 3,000 miles away, Foxx raised eyebrows when he was snapped leaving Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood with the brunette beauty.

The duo closed down the celebrity hotspot and was seen exiting together around 2 AM on Saturday.

Foxx guided Vave through the crowd and into his car.

While he kept it casual in a hoodie with jeans, the singer and model showed off her curves in a teeny tiny champagne-colored dress.

The photos left many wondering if Foxx and Holmes were over.

The famous duo began dating in 2013 and were last seen together at the Met Gala in May.

Their relationship seemed to be getting even more serious when Holmes began to bond with his daughter, Corinne.

Earlier this summer, Vave shared a tribute to Foxx on her social media.

Posting several black and white pics with the star, she wrote, "I am so grateful to this man!"

Gushing over their bond, she added, "Thank you so much @iamjamiefoxx for everything you do and for believing in me."

Holmes kept it causal sporting jeans, sandals and a gold silk tank.

Foxx seemed to be the furthest thing on the 40-year-old's mind during her morning city stroll on Saturday.

Meet Sela Vave!

Vave is a model, actress and singer.

Her acting resumé doesn't have many credits but she played a waitress in the movie "An Hour Behind" and she's listed as an employee in the TV series, "Relationship status."

While Foxx's relationship status with Holmes is unclear, it's safe to assume he has some sort of connection with Vave.

She's a singer too and has been hawking her single "All The Time" on iTunes.

吾峠呼世晴原作によるTVアニメ「鬼滅の刃」の一挙放送と特番「鬼滅テレビ」の第5回放送が、AbemaTVのAbemaアニメチャンネルにて行われる。

女優の知英が主演を務める映画「どすこい！すけひら」（2019年11月1日公開）のポスタービジュアルが公開され、主題歌を6人組ダンス＆ボーカルグループ・超特急が担当することに決定した。

同作は、元どすこいの鈍感女子をめぐる、"人は見かけがすべてじゃない"と気づかせてくれる、ジェットコースター・三角関係ラブコメディ。

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid on Friday blasted rapper Jay-Z for suggesting "we've moved past kneeling" during the national anthem as a protest against social injustice.

Reid also suggested that Jay-Z's new partnership with the NFL to help with entertainment and social justice is a "money move" that undercuts former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who has been without an NFL job since the 2016 season, when he and Reid began kneeling to protest police brutality and social injustice.

Reid, who made his remarks while wearing a black No. 7 Kaepernick jersey with "#IMWITHKAP" on the front, kneeled during the anthem before Friday night's preseason game against Buffalo, just as he has before every game since he joined Carolina last season.

"For one, when has Jay-Z ever taken a knee to come out and tell us that we're past kneeling?" Reid said. "Yes, he's done a lot of great work, a lot of great social justice work.

"But for you to get paid to go into an NFL press conference and say that we're past kneeling? Again, asinine. Players Coalition 2.0, he got paid to take the bullets he's taking now because we're not having it."

Reid has been hammering Jay-Z on Twitter since the partnership with the league was announced earlier in the week.

Responding to one tweet, Reid wrote: "You & some others seem to misunderstand that we had no beef with the NFL until they started perpetuating the systemic oppression that we are fighting by blackballing Colin and then me. Nah I won't quit playing but I will be a royal pain in the NFL's a** for acting like they care about people of color by forming numerous disingenuous partnerships to address social injustice while collectively blackballing Colin, the person who brought oppression and social injustice to the forefront of the NFL platform."

Reid said the NFL is hiding behind Jay-Z's "black face" with the new deal.

"The [injustice] that's happened to Colin, they get to say, 'Look, we care about social justice, we care about the black community because we're with Jay-Z,'" Reid said. "Jay-Z is doing the work for them. We all know that it's unjust that Colin isn't in an NFL locker room, the way he lost his job. But they get to pretend they care about social justice."

Within the past two years, both Reid and Kaepernick filed grievances against the league through the National Football League Players Association, alleging collusion among league owners to deny them jobs.

In February, it was announced that both players had reached a settlement with the NFL. Terms were not disclosed.

The Panthers signed Reid to a one-year deal in late September with the approval of new owner David Tepper, a move most in the organization thought never would have happened under former owner Jerry Richardson. Reid, 27, got a three-year, $22 million deal this past offseason.

Reid has continued to kneel during the anthem and has remained outspoken on social injustice. He waged a battle with the Players Coalition after it received about $89 million from the league for efforts and programs to combat social inequity.

Reid called Philadelphia safety Malcolm Jenkins, a co-founder of the coalition, a "sellout" for the deal following the Panthers' game last season against the Philadelphia Eagles.

"I could be completely wrong, but since the $89 million announcement with the Players Coalition, what's come of that?" Reid said Friday. "We get to pretend we care about social justice. We get to pretend we care about the black community, and we get to hide behind Malcolm Jenkins' face, and we get to hide behind Jay-Z's face and not do anything."

Asked if it would be better if Kaepernick had a seat at the table in all of this, Reid said, "It would be better if Colin had a job.''

Reid said he has lobbied for Tepper to hire Kaepernick.

"It's the same thing everybody says: 'We have a quarterback. We have a backup,'" Reid said.

After watching Carolina backups Kyle Allen and Will Grier struggle in a 27-14 loss to Buffalo, Reid was asked if Kaepernick would be a good candidate to back up starter Cam Newton.

"Colin can help every NFL team, first and foremost," Reid said. "We did not play our best football tonight. So I'm not going to throw our guys under the bus and say they should lose their jobs. We all played terrible today. But Colin can help out every NFL team."

Reid said the window for Kaepernick, 31, to get an NFL job is shrinking, and the move by the NFL to partner with Jay-Z fits the pattern he has observed over the past year.

"Jay-Z made a money move," Reid said. "He's capitalized on this situation. Nobody to my knowledge talked about social justice before Colin started protesting. That was not a topic of the NFL off the field. For Jay-Z to come in and partner to address social justice, do it behind Colin's back, get paid to do it ... I don't have words."

　映画「イージー・ライダー」などで知られるアメリカの俳優のピーター・フォンダさんが亡くなりました。79歳でした。

　アメリカのメディアによりますと、フォンダさんは16日午前にロサンゼルスの自宅で肺がんによる呼吸不全で亡くなりました。79歳でした。1969年に大ヒットした映画「イージー・ライダー」で主演と製作、脚本を務め、ハリウッドでの地位を確立しました。その後も数多くの映画やテレビドラマを手掛け、1983年には日本映画「だいじょうぶマイ・フレンド」にも出演しました。
