This is a live blog. Please check back for updates. All times below are in Beijing time. 3:05 pm: Plunge in China's services activityChina's services sector had its worst month on record in February, according to a survey. The Caixin/Markit services purchasing managers' index (PMI) plunged to 26.5 last month from January's 51.8. A level above 50 indicates expansion, while below represents contraction. The February reading was the first time the indicator had dropped below 50 since the survey began almost 15 years ago in late 2005. — Lee 1:40 pm: Central banks have 'far less ammunition' to save the global economyCentral banks around the world, including the U.S. Federal Reserve, have lowered interest rates to support their respective economies amid a rapidly spreading coronavirus — and more are expected to follow suit. But investors and economists said there's not much monetary policy can do to save the global economy, especially when some major central banks — such as the European Central Bank and Bank of Japan — have already cut interest rates into the negative territory. "The fact is, we're coming into this crisis with far less ammunition globally. It's not just Europe or Japan, even in China they have much less ammunition than the last time they had to launch a stimulus package," Alex Wolf, J.P. Morgan Private Bank's head of investment strategy in Asia, told CNBC's "Squawk Box Asia." — Lee 12:45 pm: China's giants from Alibaba to Tencent ramp up health tech efforts12:08 pm: Facebook is giving free ads to the WHO and taking down 'conspiracy theories'Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on Wednesday that the social network will give the World Health Organization free advertising for its coronavirus response and take down false claims about the virus. Users who search for coronavirus on Facebook, will see a pop-up that directs them to the WHO or local health authority for the latest information on the outbreak. Those in a country where the WHO has reported person-to-person transmission, will see see that information in their News Feed. In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg said that the WHO will get free ads and the social network will give "millions more in ad credits" to other organizations too. The Facebook founder also said the company will remove "false claims and conspiracy theories that have been flagged by leading global health organizations." "We're also blocking people from running ads that try to exploit the situation — for example, claiming that their product can cure the disease," he added. — Kharpal 11:43 am: 2 out of China's 119 new cases traveled from Iran, ItalyOut of the four new confirmed virus cases reported for Tuesday in mainland China outside of Hubei province, three came from Beijing city and one from Ningxia. Soccer: Morakinyo's late goal lifts Denmark past Blessed Trinity - Forsyth County News Online Posted: 03 Mar 2020 10:08 PM PST By Josh Holland For the Forsyth County News With seconds remaining at the end of extra time, and the score stuck at 1-1, the Denmark boys launched one more counter attack with the hope of finding the elusive goal that would give them the win. Dolapo Morakinyo, a junior from South Africa who moved to Forsyth County mere months ago, found the ball at his feet inside the box with 20 seconds remaining. He placed the shot perfectly in the bottom left-hand corner and gave Denmark a 2-1 lead to finish off Blessed Trinity on Tuesday night. Denmark was the better team for the majority of the match, as the Danes controlled possession and the tempo of the game. They scored the first goal as a result through sophomore Jacob Pelletier, who chipped the keeper 19 minutes into the game. At that point in the game, the Danes were dominating as Blessed Trinity was forced to live off the counter attack. However, two minutes after taking the lead, Denmark unnecessarily fouled Blessed Trinity sophomore Kyle Patterson inside the box, granting them a penalty. WhatsApp dark mode now available for iOS and Android - The Verge Posted: 03 Mar 2020 09:50 PM PST WhatsApp is finally getting a new dark mode on iOS and Android today. After months of beta testing on both mobile operating systems, the WhatsApp dark mode will be available for all users today. If you already have dark mode enabled at the system level on iOS 13 or Android 10, then WhatsApp will automatically switch over. Android 9 users can simply enable a new dark theme in the WhatsApp settings menu. Facebook has tweaked its WhatsApp dark mode to ensure it lowers the brightness of a phone display. "During testing we found that combining pure black and white creates high contrast that can lead to eye fatigue," explains a WhatsApp spokesperson. "So instead, you'll notice a special dark gray background and off-white color that lowers the brightness of the screen, cuts down the glare, and improves contrast and readability." The WhatsApp dark theme will be mostly pure black on iOS devices and a darker gray on Android. It's a long-awaited feature, one that WhatsApp acknowledges in a launch video (above) with lots of people squinting into their phones. The short video, entitled "Hello Darkness," includes a previously unreleased version of "The Sound of Silence" by Paul Simon. You can download the latest WhatsApp update from Apple's App Store or the Google Play Store to get the new dark mode option. Joe Biden fundraisers see millions of dollars in new commitments with Super Tuesday surge - CNBC Posted: 03 Mar 2020 08:20 PM PST Former Vice President Joe Biden went into Super Tuesday with fewer financial resources than other candidates. But he will be in much better shape by the end of the night. Bundlers loyal to Biden are seeing dozens of new donors, several maxing out with the top allowable $2,800, as he picks up victories in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, and other states, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter. These people declined to be named because these developments were yet to be announced. Biden fundraising events started to sell out early in the night, the people added. Biden's fundraising success on Tuesday will be a key to his efforts to win the Democratic Party's nomination to take on President Donald Trump in November. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., who was ahead of Biden in the delegate count going into Super Tuesday, raised $46.5 million in the month of February. Biden, meanwhile, raised $18 million over that same time period and another $5 million just days after his dominant victory in Saturday's South Carolina primary. Former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg, a billionaire worth about $60 billion, has said he will not be dropping out in the near future, making Biden's fundraising success on Tuesday even more critical. Bloomberg invested $200 million in Super Tuesday ads, including $5.6 million in Virginia and $12.8 million in North Carolina. Biden's campaign spent just over $445,000 on ads in both of those states combined. Business executives who were advising both Bloomberg and Biden have also started privately deciding to side with the former vice president. With Bloomberg appearing to struggle, these same business leaders and donors are planning to prod the former New York mayor to drop out of the race in order to become, in essence, another financial juggernaut that will back Biden and turn on Sanders. "At some level it is shocking to win double digits in Virginia, for example, and with no ads and no ground game except a single field office," said one Wall Street leader who was helping both candidates but is now calling on members of his network to back Biden. Jon Henes, a fundraiser for the former vice president, told members of his donor network that the message of Super Tuesday is clear: Biden is the candidate to beat, and it's time for Bloomberg to go. "Mayor Bloomberg's attempt to bring a new approach — forgoing the first four states, plowing money into social media and advertisements and opening offices in the Super Tuesday states, did not work. It is definitely time for Mayor Bloomberg to step out and support Joe," he told donors late Tuesday. One of the nearly sold-out events is at the home of former Ambassador James Costos, said the people with direct knowledge of the matter. The event is scheduled for March 19, two days after the Florida primary. It was described to CNBC as an LGBTQ reception that looks to appeal to donors who once backed former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg before he dropped out earlier this week and endorsed Biden. Buttigieg was the first major openly gay presidential candidate. The event is to be co-hosted by Wall Street executive Charles Meyers, former Ambassador Rufus Gifford, and Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, D-N.Y., among many others, an organizer explained. As Biden picked up a win in South Carolina, donors close to Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., who also recently dropped out and endorsed the former vice president, started moving into his camp. One bundler explained to CNBC that Biden's Super Tuesday success is leading to potentially 30 events being scheduled across the country, with 15 already lined up. "I have been inundated with requests to give and to hold fundraisers," Florida businessman John Morgan explained to CNBC. "The worm has turned. Uncle Joe is the new comeback kid." Another Biden bundler, Mike Kempner, told CNBC that money is rolling in in the wake of the campaign's Super Tuesday success. "Since South Carolina, there has been a steady stream of new donors wanting to be supportive. After tonight that is now a flood," said Kempner, CEO of public relations giant MWWPR. "The enthusiasm from new and current donors is at a level rarely seen in fundraising circles." Meanwhile, the pro-Biden super PAC Unite the Country has also seen new big-money commitments throughout the evening. The group is looking to help Biden in future primaries after investing in digital and radio ads airing in key Super Tuesday states. "We are riding the VP's coattails. The donors are making their preference known," Larry Rasky, the group's treasurer, told CNBC on Tuesday when asked about their success throughout the night. Posted: 03 Mar 2020 08:18 PM PST He's been taking a licking in 2020 Democratic primary race — but Michael Bloomberg can give one out too. In a video that went viral Tuesday, the former New York mayor turned White House hopeful was caught manhandling a slice of pizza at a campaign stop, putting it back in the box, then licking his fingers. Even President Trump took notice of the stomach-churning display, tweeting the video with a shot at the potential 2020 rival he calls "Mini Mike." "Mini Mike, don't lick your dirty fingers," wrote the president. "Both unsanitary and dangerous to others and yourself!" In the undated 14-second clip, Bloomberg is seen reaching into a box of pizza, grabbing a slice and ripping off the crust. He then pops part of the severed slice into his mouth while putting the rest back into the box — before popping all five of his fingers into his mouth in succession. To somehow make things worse, Bloomberg then used the same hand to touch the top of what appears to be a communal container of coffee, just before the clip cuts out. The video caught fire amid widespread national concerns over the deadly coronavirus, and —seemingly — commonsense hygiene steps to prevent its spread. USAF Still 2100 Pilots Short of Goal - Air Force Magazine Posted: 03 Mar 2020 08:08 PM PST The Air Force needs 2,100 more pilots to reach its goal of 21,000 aviators, indicating that efforts to stem the pilot shortage have not yet been successful. "As of the end of [fiscal 2019], the Air Force remains 2,100 pilots short of the 21,000 required to execute the National Defense Strategy," service officials said in written testimony submitted to the House Armed Services readiness subcommittee for a March 3 hearing. "Increasing production of new aviators remains the most significant lever we have to arrest aircrew shortages." Military pilots are leaving government service for better-paying, more flexible jobs with private airlines and elsewhere. At the end of fiscal 2016, the service said it was 1,555 pilots short and expected to see the gap grow. USAF launched a number of initiatives, like additional payment as incentive to keep flying. The shortage grew to about 2,000 pilots short of a roughly 20,000-person goal in the following years. Fighter pilots have traditionally made up the largest portion of the shortage, which is particularly problematic from an NDS standpoint because the strategy focuses on high-end aircraft to compete with and win in a war against an advanced military such as those of Russia or China. While the service is pushing to grow its pilot production pipeline to turn out 1,480 aviators a year by fiscal 2024, it has fallen short of its gradually increasing production goals for five straight years. Air Force Times reported Feb. 14 that the Air Force missed that benchmark in 2019 and expects to do the same by the end of the current fiscal year. About 1,300 pilots are slated to finish training by the end of September. Still, Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Stephen Wilson noted a 30 percent increase in pilot production over the last three years, from about 1,000 in 2015 to about 1,300 in 2019. "Between all the services, we're going to produce 2,200 pilots and the airlines are going to hire 5,000," Wilson said at the hearing. "We, too, are concerned on being able to produce the number, but then the next part is I've got to be able to season them with the right flying hours, then I've got to retain them on the back end." In a Feb. 27 interview with Air Force Magazine, Air Education and Training Command boss Lt. Gen. Brad Webb blamed the fiscal 2020 training shortfall on a combination of bad weather, maintenance challenges, and instructor availability. Lackluster aircraft readiness rates also played a role in the deficiency, according to 19th Air Force commander Maj. Gen. Craig Wills. "I am comfortable that we have got [the] throttle at a right setting to produce a quality product," Webb said at AFA's 2020 Air Warfare Symposium. "It cannot just be the puppy mill production of numbers." USAF's fiscal 2021 budget request includes $9 billion for 1.2 million flying hours, $275.7 million to continue developing the new T-7A Red Hawk trainer jet, and $222.4 million to fund contractors that pilots can train against instead of making blue-suit Airmen act as those aggressors. Another $27.6 million will help Air Education and Training Command scale augmented reality training to undergraduates at all of its bases under the Pilot Training Next program. Backfilling empty spots is only one part of the strategy. The Air Force must also keep the pilots it already has. These aviators are, in the Air Force's words, "inspired to serve, but are nevertheless stressed by nearly two decades of sustained combat." "Retention of these valued aviators remains at risk should operational demands continue to outpace our available force structure, shifting the burden of a high operations tempo onto our already stressed aircrew," the testimony said. USAF officials want congressional support to continue retention bonuses for aviators as well as projects focused on their families, like ensuring children can get a quality education in their area and expanding employment options for military spouses. "The last thing we want to do is continuously surge our people," Wills said. "We have really talented instructors, we have great Airmen that are out there maintaining airplanes and teaching students. Even though we do have a pilot shortage, the last thing we would ever want to do is make the pace so high that it negatively impacts their quality of military service or their quality of life." T-Mobile to fight $91M FCC fine over location data sales - FierceWireless Posted: 03 Mar 2020 07:46 PM PST T-Mobile said it intends to fight a $91.6 million fine proposed by the FCC against the carrier related to unauthorized sales of customers' real-time location data to third-parties. The FCC announced (PDF) last week that it was issuing Notices of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture and Admonishment (NALs) to T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, with the collective penalties totaling about $209 million. The agency's investigation found the carriers violated the law and failed to put adequate safeguards in place, even after learning that sensitive customer data was being resold to third-parties (without customer consent) from companies known as data "aggregators" that had agreements with the operators. RELATED: Big 4 face fines for selling customer location data "While we strongly support the FCC's commitment to consumer protection, we fully intend to dispute the conclusions of this NAL and the associated fine," said a T-Mobile spokesperson in an emailed statement to FierceWireless. "We take the privacy and security of our customers' data very seriously. When we learned that our location aggregator program was being abused by bad actor third parties, we took quick action. We were the first wireless provider to commit to ending the program and terminated it in February 2019 after first ensuring that valid and important services were not adversely impacted," the spokesperson continued. Investigative reports over the last couple of years, including by the New York Times and Vice Motherboard among others, revealed that carriers were selling customer location data that then could make its way into unauthorized hands. In Motherboard's report in early 2019, the outlet was able to buy the real-time location of a T-Mobile device from a bounty hunter for $300, after the information trickled down from carriers to data aggregators and their relationships with third parties. RELATED: Cellphone location data from T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint was sold to bail bondsmen It should be noted that carriers sometimes share location data for legitimate services like emergency roadside assistance and fraud prevention. T-Mobile faces the stiffest fine of the four carriers, followed by AT&T ($57.3 million), Verizon ($48.3 million), and Sprint ($12.2 million). The amount of the proposed penalty relates to the length of time carriers continued to sell unauthorized access after becoming aware of the problem and the number of companies it gave the information to. Interestingly, the FCC investigation did not delve into how many consumers' data was affected or misused by each carrier. All four carriers had pledged as early as 2018 to stop providing data location to third-party brokers. In its NAL to T-Mobile, the FCC said the operator continued to provide unauthorized access until early February 2019, for "the better part of a year" after learning its safeguards in place weren't doing enough. T-Mobile had arrangements with two data aggregators, LocationSmart and Zumigo, which in turn had several relationships with location-based services entities. T-Mobile directly or indirectly sold customer location information to 83 third parties, according to the NAL (PDF). Verizon meanwhile continued to sell access to location data until the end of March 2019 and Sprint until May 31. AT&T's date, meanwhile, was redacted from its NAL (PDF), which noted the practice continued "for nearly a year" after the carrier became aware. RELATED: Wireless carriers tell FCC they stopped selling user location data to aggregators FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks called out T-Mobile specifically, objecting to the penalty amount as too low. "It should be higher," Starks said of T-Mobile's proposed fine, in prepared remarks (PDF). "I believe that T-Mobile was on notice about the problems with its location data protections back in July 2017 and that the proposed forfeiture amount should reflect that fact – the punishment should fit the crime." Carriers still have the opportunity to respond to the NAL, as T-Mobile intends to do, so the penalty and conclusions are not yet final. A Sprint spokesperson said yesterday that the carrier was in the process of reviewing the NAL and reiterated that it takes "the privacy and security of our customers very seriously." AT&T and Verizon have not responded to FierceWireless inquiries. Posted: 03 Mar 2020 07:20 PM PST WASHINGTON — Former Vice President Joe Biden has won the Virginia Democratic primary, according to an NBC News projection. The win may portend a strong showing for Biden on Tuesday night, when Democratic voters will award more delegates than on any other night of the primary. Virginia has 99 delegates to award on Tuesday. Biden was projected to win at least 51 of them, and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., to win at least 19, according to an NBC News projection. This number will be updated throughout the night on CNBC's Super Tuesday live blog. Biden came into Tuesday's contest in the state with a commanding lead in the polls over his nearest rivals, the result of a massive upsurge in support over the past few days. The surge allowed Biden to surpass both Sanders and former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg in state polls. Biden's gains followed his decisive victory in South Carolina's primary over the weekend, the first primary below the Mason-Dixon Line. As recently as March 1, the polling average for Virginia at FiveThirtyEight.com showed Sanders leading Biden by 5 points. But all that changed on Monday, when fresh polls came out that showed Biden riding high. Biden's prospects may also be boosted by the announcements by former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., in the past 48 hours that they would drop out of the race and endorse the former vice president. In 2016's Democratic primary, Hillary Clinton defeated Sanders in Virginia by nearly 30 points. Bloomberg has targeted Virginia, which has a history of electing moderate Democrats. Virginia is the type of state that Bloomberg would need to do well in if he hoped to make a convincing argument to voters, and Democratic delegates, that he's a viable alternative to Sanders. In addition to spending millions of dollars in recent years helping Democrats get elected across the Old Dominion state, Bloomberg invested in a massive campaign operation there ahead of Tuesday's primary, with seven field offices and at least 80 staffers, the largest of any Democrat in the race. But so far, Bloomberg's efforts have yielded little in the way of endorsements, despite his having led for a few days last month in FiveThirtyEight.com's average of Virginia polling. Over the weekend, two of the state's most prominent Democrats, Sen. Tim Kaine and former Gov. Terry McAuliffe, both endorsed Biden. He has also been endorsed by Reps. Bobby Scott, Jennifer Wexton, Elaine Luria, Donald McEachin and Don Beyer, all D-Va. 2 New Jersey teens charged over viral TikTok 'skull-breaker challenge' - New York Post Posted: 03 Mar 2020 04:48 PM PST A pair of New Jersey teens are facing criminal charges after seriously injuring one of their classmates during the viral TikTok "skull-breaker challenge," authorities said. The new social media craze has kids trick one of their classmates to jump in the air, side-by-side, while another kid unsuspectingly sweeps out their legs — sending the sucker crashing to the ground. Two minors, whose names and ages were not released, were arrested and charged Tuesday with aggravated assault and endangering an injured victim over one of the viral videos in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, last month, the Camden County prosecutor said Wednesday. The 13-year-old boy, who suffered a seizure and a concussion during the Jan. 24 incident, was hospitalized for two days for his injuries, the boy's father, Marc Shenker, told WHHY. The boy's mother, Stacy Shenker, told NBC she had never heard of the game until she was called to the school. Her son was unresponsive when she arrived, and EMS told her he had suffered a seizure. Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill Mayer urged parents to talk with their kids about the dangers of the game. "While the challenges may seem funny or get views on social media platforms, they can have serious and long-lasting health consequences," Mayer said. Chevron Has Reality Check for ‘Aspirational’ Big Oil Carbon Goal - Yahoo Finance Posted: 03 Mar 2020 04:38 PM PST (Bloomberg) -- Mike Wirth didn't beat around the bush Tuesday: Chevron Corp. won't go carbon neutral anytime soon. Wirth, chief executive officer of the second-largest U.S. oil company, called the goals set by many European rivals "aspirational." Instead, he said, Chevron will take a more realistic path for a major producer of fossil fuels with "concrete actions" to reduce carbon emissions within its own operations. "We've not set long-term targets that we're not exactly sure how we will get to," Wirth said in an interview with Bloomberg TV. "Our approach has been, get on the path, start taking actions, set short-term accountability metrics, make progress and start marching in that direction." By contrast, BP Plc last month committed to being carbon neutral by 2050, while Royal Dutch Shell Plc, Repsol SA and Eni SpA have pledged to make large reductions in carbon emissions over the long term. Those promises have won favor with environmentalists and investors. But, according critics, the companies have avoided the difficult truth that no large oil major has yet worked out how to produce carbon-free energy and also turn the big profits associated with oil and gas. Still, Chevron's modest climate goals could signify of a lack of ambition, said Jennifer Rowland, an analyst at Edward Jones. "For a business that measures not in years but in decades, you have to question, are they doing enough?" At its annual investor meeting in New York on Tuesday, Chevron committed to financial targets for the next five years and outlined projects for the next decade. Its targets for "lower carbon intensity" emissions end in 2023. Wirth's comments could be a reality check for executives thinking they can have it all. The world's supermajors are among developed markets' most prodigious dividend payers. So far, solar, wind and battery storage projects haven't shown they can fund such payouts over the long term. At some point, oil and gas companies face a choice, according to Wirth. He said shareholders' top priority is seeing improving returns in Chevron's oil and gas business, and the company responded Tuesday by promising to shower them with $80 billion in cash over the next five years. "If we do things that are only good for the environment and not good for shareholders, that's not sustainable," he said. "If we do things that ignore the environment and are only good for shareholders, that's not sustainable either. It's finding that intersection -- that is the challenge." Both long-term aspirations and short-term targets are needed to reduce emissions to net zero by mid-century, according to Kathy Mulvey, a campaign director at the Union of Concerned Scientists. That is what the Paris accord says the world needs to prevent catastrophic climate change. "It's totally legitimate for people to focus on how to get to these targets," she said. It's hard to give Chevron the "benefit of the doubt" when its own goals are so limited. Like Exxon Mobil Corp., Chevron isn't concerned about peak oil demand, because a surging global population will need all forms of energy, including oil and gas, many decades into the future, Wirth said. Companies with the lowest-cost assets will be the ones to produce those fossil fuels and Wirth said he is positioning Chevron to be in that category. European energy companies expect that renewables will become a greater part of their overall production over time. Chevron will only invest in renewable energy to "support" its oil and gas business for the time being, according to its presentation at the conference. It will continue to invest in novel early-stage technology that could replace oil and gas over time. Its previously announced emissions targets refer to intensity, meaning pollution per unit of energy, as opposed to total emissions, allowing oil and gas production to rise over time. "It's the dual challenge of more energy for a growing world and reducing the carbon footprint," Wirth said. "People are going about it a little bit differently. I don't think that's a bad thing." --With assistance from Alix Steel. Posted: 03 Mar 2020 05:13 AM PST 'The Bachelorette': Was Clare Crawley Engaged? Benoît Beauséjour-Savard Is Still Rooting for His Ex-Fiancé After Their Breakup - Showbiz Cheat Sheet It's official — Clare Crawley will lead The Bachelorette Season 16, and the fandom is buzzing with excitement. The 38-year-old breaks tradition, as she doesn't come from Peter Weber's current season of The Bachelor. But she has been a member of the franchise for some time. And as some longtime viewers have noticed, the last time we saw Crawley, she got engaged to Benoît Beauséjour-Savard during The Bachelor Winter Games reunion. So why did Crawley and Beauséjour-Savard break up? A lot has happened since the couple got together, but Beauséjour-Savard still seems as supportive of his ex-fiancé as ever. Clare Crawley and Benoît Beauséjour-Savard got engaged after meeting on 'The Bachelor Winter Games'Following her appearances on Juan Pablo Galavis' season of The Bachelor and the first two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, Crawley found her way to The Bachelor Winter Games in 2018. Once settled, the hairstylist from Sacramento, California met Beauséjour-Savard from The Bachelorette Canada and Bachelor in Paradise Season 5. Of course, Crawley and Beauséjour-Savard hit it off. Nevertheless, there was a bit of trouble in paradise. Crawley also saw something in Christian Rauch, the contestant from Germany. So when Beauséjour-Savard confessed his feelings, she admitted she still wanted to explore her options. Then Beauséjour-Savard left the show. But even so, the couple still got together after filming the reality series. During The Bachelor Winter Games: World Tells All, Crawley revealed she reconnected with Beauséjour-Savard when she returned home to Sacramento. Then when speaking with host Chris Harrison, the Canadian native said he couldn't stop thinking about Crawley, noting how much he cared for her. So he couldn't help but reach out when she left the show. Meanwhile, Crawley reciprocated Beauséjour-Savard's feelings and expressed how much she loved him in a tearful speech. And in the end, Beauséjour-Savard got down on one knee and proposed to Crawley. "It's overwhelming, it's crazy," Crawley told People about her engagement in February 2018. "Going on these Bachelor shows is a huge risk and you don't know the outcome. It's scary, but it's a risk that you have to take to get the good in the end." Why Clare Crawley and Benoît Beauséjour-Savard broke up and ended their engagementDespite the heartwarming proposal during the Winter Games reunion, Crawley and Beauséjour-Savard broke up and ended their engagement in April 2018. On their respective Instagram accounts, the Bachelor Nation couple wrote a joint statement addressing their split, hinting it was amicable. Crawley and Beauséjour-Savard wrote:
Benoît Beauséjour-Savard shows support for Clare Crawley as 'The Bachelorette'Now, a few years after ending their engagement, it appears Crawley and Beauséjour-Savard are still on good terms. In an interview with Life & Style Magazine following Crawley's Bachelorette announcement on March 2, Beauséjour-Savard confirmed they've maintained a friendship long past the breakup. "She has always been so nice to me, even after the breakup," he said. "We talked on a regular basis and still care a lot about each other." Meanwhile, Beauséjour-Savard declared his support for Crawley as the next bachelorette. "I'm glad she got that chance at finding love because we both trust that process. All I want for her is to be happy because she deserves the best," he said. "She will be the best person to call out her men if they aren't there for her. I'm sure she will find her soulmate. She will be the best bachelorette, I can tell you this." Crawley's engagement to Beauséjour-Savard may have been short-lived after The Bachelor Winter Games, but it seems there's no bad blood as the new bachelorette moves forward to find her forever. Now Bachelor Nation fans must wait to see how Crawley's journey unfolds when The Bachelorette Season 16 premiers on Monday, May 18. Stay tuned. 2020-03-03 05:40:35Z https://news.google.com/__i/rss/rd/articles/CBMie2h0dHBzOi8vd3d3LmNoZWF0c2hlZXQuY29tL2VudGVydGFpbm1lbnQvYmFjaGVsb3JldHRlLWNsYXJlLWNyYXdsZXktZW5nYWdlZC1iZW5vaXQtYmVhdXNlam91ci1zYXZhcmQtYnJlYWt1cC1ub3ctMjAyMC5odG1sL9IBAA?oc=5 |
