Le Mans Virtual Series 2022-23
The entry list has been released for the second round of the 2022-23 Le Mans Virtual Series, which will be contested at the virtual Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Saturday, October 8th.

The Le Mans Virtual Series will enter its second stop of the 2022-23 season, the 4 Hours of Monza, on Saturday, October 8th. The event will be contested on the rFactor2 platform. On Wednesday, Motorsport Games dropped the entry list for the second race of the five-event series. And boy, oh boy is it a packed entry list.

The field will be divided into two classes, the LMP2 class, and the GTE class. In total, there will be 40 entries in the event, and each entry will feature a three-driver roster.

There will be 24 entries in the LMP2 class and all competitors will be utilizing the ORECA 07 LMP2 model, while there will be 16 entries in the GTE class with teams having a choice between Ferrari, BMW, Porsche, and Aston Martin Vantage models.

The intriguing thing about the Le Mans Virtual Series, aside from the $250,000 total prize fund, and the incredible schedule built around some of the virtual counterparts of some of the most iconic endurance race tracks around the globe is the fact that real-world FIA-licensed racers (pros) are teamed with elite eSports squads.

The 16 Pros that will be competing on teams in the Monza event include:

  • Tom Dillmann (Formula E)
  • Sami-Matti Trogen (GT3 and eRacer for Williams eSports)
  • Ayhancan Güven (Porsche Factory driver in the ADAC GT Masters)
  • Luis Díaz (American Le Mans Series)
  • Maťo Homola (TCR Europe)
  • James Baldwin (2020 British GT and 2020 Formula One eSports Series)
  • Job van Uitert (European Le Mans Series)
  • Ye Yifei (2016 French F4 champion, 2020 Euroformula Open champion, 2021 Asian Le Mans Series champion, 2021 European Le Mans Series champion)
  • Esteban Guerrieri (FIA World Tour Car Cup)
  • Luke Browning (GB3 Championship competitor, ADAC Formula 4 Championship competitor and won the 2020 F4 British Championship)
  • David Pittard (FIA World Endurance Championship)
  • Ramez Azzam (Gulf Radical Cup)
  • Gustas Grinbergas (Asian Le Mans Series)
  • Dylan Pereira (Porsche Supercup)
  • Lasse Sørensen (NASCAR Whelen Euro Series)
  • Aleksandr Smolyar (FIA Formula 3)

That is a lot of real-world racing talent for one virtual race, no doubt, but there are equally talented sim racers in the field as well.

The No. 4 Floyd Vanwall-Burst team, which will feature Dillmann (Pro), Jernej Simončič and Jasper N. Pedersen in the sim rig on Saturday, scored the win in the opening round of the Le Mans Virtual Series in the virtual 8 Hours of Bahrain on September 17th.

The virtual 4 Hours of Monza weekend festivities will get kicked off with qualifying on Friday, October 7th at 1:00 PM EST / 6:00 PM BST. The actual race itself will take place the following day, Saturday, October 8th and full, uninterrupted coverage will begin at 7:40 AM EST / 12:40 PM BST.

All of the action can be viewed on the FIA WEC, Le Mans and TraxionGG YouTube Channels. The action will also be available for streaming on the TraxionGG Twitch channel as well as several different social media channels as well.
