モデル道端アンジェリカ（33）の夫が恐喝容疑で逮捕されたとの報道で、道端3姉妹の長女カレン（40）および次女ジェシカ（34）のSNSコメント欄も荒れる事態となっている。

アンジェリカのインスタグラムは2日の投稿を最後にストップしているが、コメント欄には「ちゃんと説明してください！」などといった声が多数寄せられている。

また、逮捕報道によって姉たちにも飛び火している。カレン、ジェシカともに今回の報道についてコメントをしていないが、インスタグラムのコメント欄には「お姉さんも対応に色々大変だと思いますが、頑張ってください」といった励ましの声もあったが厳しい意見の書き込みも相次いでいる。

　かんぽ生命保険の不正販売問題を昨年４月に報じたＮＨＫの「クローズアップ現代＋」をめぐり、ＮＨＫが日本郵政グループの抗議を受けた問題で、鈴木康雄・日本郵政上級副社長（元総務事務次官）は３日、国会内での野党合同ヒアリング後、記者団に対し、番組の取材手法について「暴力団と一緒」と発言した。

　鈴木氏は、ＮＨＫ側から「取材を受けてくれるなら（情報提供を呼び掛ける）動画を消す」と言われたと説明し、「そんなことを言っているやつの話を聞けるか。それじゃ暴力団と一緒でしょ。殴っておいて、これ以上殴ってほしくないならもうやめてやる、俺の言うことを聞けって。ばかじゃないの」と不満を述べた。

　一方、ＮＨＫの上田良一会長は日本郵政との問題に関し、同日の定例会見で「ＮＨＫの自主自律や番組編集の自由が損なわれた事実はない」との考えを重ねて強調。番組の続編の放送延期と郵政の抗議は関係がないことなどを説明した。また、鈴木氏の発言については、会見に同席した担当者が「大変丁寧に取材交渉をしたので、驚いている。（ＮＨＫ側に）そのような発言が本当にあれば、郵政側から申し入れがあったかもしれないが、それはない」と説明した。

'Joker' Director Todd Phillips Taken Aback By Violence Rap: "Isn't It A Good Thing To Take Away The Cartoon Element?" - Deadline

Introducing Wednesday's New York Film Festival screening of Joker, director Todd Phillips acknowledged the strong reactions to the film, which finally opens commercially this weekend. "There's been a lot said about this movie – a lot said by me, too. I've learned," the director told the audience. "I'm really excited that you're here and we can finally let the movie speak for itself."

Joker has become a lightning rod at the same time it has accumulated a wealth of initial critical praise and buzz, plus the Golden Lion at last month's Venice Film Festival. Police in New York and other cities are on alert for this weekend's opening, given the film's ties to Christopher Nolan's Batman films, one of which was screening at a theater in Colorado that was the site of a mass shooting. Phillips has faced backlash from his recent comments that he shifted to making dramas because "woke culture" has ruined comedy, the genre where he broke out with hits like Old School and The Hangover.

After the film screened at Alice Tully Hall, Phillips, star Joaquin Phoenix, producer Emma Tillinger Koskoff, production designer Mark Freidberg and D.P. Lawrence Sher shared thoughts in a Q&A session. Phillips pushed back on criticism of Joker's depiction of violence. Some commentators have expressed anxiety over potential copycat behavior, with life imitating the film's spasms of mob violence unleashed by a loner with a gun – a potent setup in 2019. Phillips said the filmmakers had sought to strip away the usual layers of fantasy and exaggeration of the comic book genre and deliver a character study, albeit one of a homicidal sociopath. Their models were films like Mean Streets, Dog Day Afternoon and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, he said.

"That's the surprising thing to me," Phillips said. "I thought, isn't that a good thing, to put real-world implications on violence? Isn't it a good thing to take away the cartoon element about violence that we've become so immune to? I was a little surprised when it turns into that direction, that it's irresponsible. Because, to me, it's very responsible to make it feel real and make it have weight and implications."

Phoenix, who has generally been on his best behavior during the initial stage of what is apt to be a long Oscar campaign for his widely hailed lead turn, engaged only sporadically with the discussion. He traded inscrutable inside jokes with the others onstage and at one point repeatedly told moderator Eugene Hernandez, deputy director of the Film Society of Lincoln Center, that he couldn't understand the question he was asking. (It was a real curveball, all right, about how he and Phillips started creating the Arthur Fleck/Joker character.)

After a series of awkward pauses, Phillips drew nervous laughter by joking to the crowd, "You're getting a real look at what it's like" to hold a conversation with Phoenix.

At times during the 30-minute Q&A, though, the actor focused enough to shed a bit of light on his approach. He and Phillips began by analyzing and discussing videos of people who have disorders that prompt them to laugh compulsively and at inappropriate times. "Obviously, the Joker laugh is iconic," Phoenix said. "I thought it was a really smart way of approaching that laugh."

Kylie Jenner's split from Travis Scott wasn't the result of a cheating scandal or a blowup fight ... they were simply done in by a harsh dose of reality.

Sources close to the ex-couple tell TMZ ... their decision to break things off came weeks ago, following a very long honeymoon phase that was full of love, touring, going on vacations and of course ... raising their daughter, Stormi, together.

We're told after Travis' "Astroworld" tour wrapped up and the two got back from Kylie's lavish bday getaway, everything slowed down and they were confronted by the grind of normal life ... and things felt different between them.

Simply put ... our sources say they fell out of love.

We're told Kylie and Travis tried to work it out for awhile -- including around the time she accompanied him to his 'Look Mom I Can Fly' documentary premiere in Santa Monica on Aug. 27 -- but couldn't make it happen.

However, as we told you ... the couple calling it quits -- either temporarily or for good -- doesn't mean they'll be running to their lawyers to work out a custody arrangement for Stormi. That's not the MO for the Kardashian/Jenner sisters.

Also worth noting -- Kylie and Trav survived a rough patch before, earlier this year when she accused him of cheating ... which he denied.

Things look a little more grim this time though -- Kylie just attended the Biebers' wedding without him and appeared to really enjoy herself.

Travis, meanwhile, has a new single coming out Friday, but we're told the timing of the breakup news is simply a coincidence ... this is not some sort of stunt.

R. Kelly news: Judge denies bail for R&B singer R. Kelly in NYC sex-abuse case today - CBS News

R. Kelly denied bail

Beleaguered R&B singer R. Kelly was denied bail Wednesday in his New York City sex-abuse case after a judge agreed with prosecutors that freeing him from jail would create a risk of him fleeing or tampering with witnesses. U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly denied a defense motion asking to release him on bond and allow home detention. She set a May 18 trial date.

Kelly, 52, didn't attend the hearing in federal court in Brooklyn. He remains behind bars in Chicago awaiting a trial on related charges that's scheduled for April 27.

Kelly, whose full name is Robert Kelly, pleaded not guilty in August to the New York charges accusing him of using his fame to recruit young women and girls for illegal sexual activity. The defense has labeled the accusers disgruntled groupies.
