NASCAR Homestead: Entry list, TV schedule for Sunday's Cup Series race - Tennessean

deweweko.blogspot.com

The NASCAR Cup Series playoffs head to Homestead-Miami Speedway in South Florida for the second race in the round of 8 on Sunday, the 4EVER 400 presented by Mobil 1.

Kyle Larson earned his Championship 4 place with a dominant win at Las Vegas last weekend. At the moment, it appears four drivers (Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr., William Byron and Christopher Bell) are fighting for three spots to join Larson at Phoenix. That could all change with major trouble in Sunday's race at Homestead.

Ryan Blaney's disqualification was rescinded on Monday, giving the Team Penske driver a fighting chance to make the Championship 4 via points. Blaney currently sits in 7th, 17 points behind 4th place. Blaney, Tyler Reddick and Chris Buescher all have some points work to do to get into the final four that way. Of course, a win takes care of business.

It's still odd to see Homestead not end the Cup Series season, a superior track to Phoenix with the current race car and a unique challenge for a 1.5-mile speedway.

Here's what you need to know about Sunday's race:
