SOMERSET, NJ - Venus Jewelers, a fifth-generation family jeweler in Somerset, NJ, is giving away a $10,000 diamond engagement ring by award-winning designer Verragio on November 14, 2020. They’re searching for adventurous couples who want to get engaged to compete in an “Amazing Race” style set of challenges culminating in a scavenger hunt.
Dr. Peter Stavrianidis, principal of Venus Jewelers, said, “With everything going on, we wanted to host something fun to celebrate our love for love! We were so inspired by the many proposals and weddings that were very much still happening during the challenging time of Covid. We wanted to find a way to recognize this and help a beautiful couple walk away with a $10,000 ring. Either way, win or lose, we’re all going to have a great time!”
Couples will compete in ten challenges, testing their ability to work together and keep cool under pressure, to earn points for a chance to win the grand prize $10,000 ring.
To enter, couples who are looking to get engaged within one year are asked to post a photo on Instagram with a caption about their love story and why they want to race. Entrants should use #VenusAmazingRingRace and tag @venusjewelers and @jasonthegemologist by November 1, 2020. Finalists will be announced by November 2, 2020 and will be asked to donate $100 to the Franklin Food Bank to complete their registration.
