Seth Jarvis signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday.
The 18-year-old forward, selected with the No. 13 pick at the 2020 NHL Draft, will receive $832,500 per season at the NHL level and a $277,500 signing bonus.

"Seth is an extremely talented player with elite puck skills and scoring ability," Hurricanes general manager Don Waddell said. "He has a very bright future, and we are excited to watch him continue his development into an NHL player."
Jarvis scored 98 points (42 goals, 56 assists) in 58 games for Portland of the Western Hockey League last season; he was second in the league in points, third in goals and tied for fifth in assists. Jarvis had 28 multipoint games and had point streaks of 10 (29 points; 11 goals, 18 assists from Jan. 3-31) and 11 games (27 points; 14 goals, 13 assists from Feb. 4-29).
A native of Winnipeg, Jarvis scored 139 points (58 goals, 81 assists) in 130 WHL games.
