The number of Washington Wizards players in the NBA's health and safety protocols continues to increase by the day.
Wizards forward Montrezl Harrell has entered the protocols, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Tuesday. Harrell becomes the seventh Washington player to do so since Dec. 21. Several Washington staff members have entered the protocols as well.
Harrell entering the league's protocols comes just one day after three Wizards players -- Anthony Gill, Thomas Bryant and Aaron Holiday -- all entered the protocols. Guard Raul Neto was placed in the protocols before the Wizards' game on Sunday night. Guards Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Bradley Beal have been in the protocols since last week.
"I’m having a hard time keeping track of it. It changes by the hour," head coach Wes Unseld Jr. said Monday.
Harrell has appeared in 33 games (three starts) for Washington this season, averaging 14.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. The Wizards are set to take on the Miami Heat at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
