Chitta is a synthetic drug that has heroin and some other lethal substances. Tarn Taran Superintendent of Police recently issued an order dismissing Jorawar Singh from the Punjab Police. The chief minister, who holds the Punjab's home charge, also warned of strict action against policemen caught in "criminal acts", a press release from the state government said on Saturday. Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said in his weekly AskCaptain Facebook session that he was inclined to have the policeman dismissed after an inquiry. The inquiry, the press release said quoting an official spokesperson, showed prima facie evidence against the policeman, who was seen in the viral video doing drugs using a lighter and a silver foil. "The Chief Minister felt that retention and continuation of ASI Jorawar Singh in service would be detrimental to the interests of the state, the police force as well as the general public. The dismissal was necessary to send a strong message that the state government would not tolerate such criminal practice, especially from those in uniform," the press release said quoting Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. Reeves (Cloverfield, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) debuted the first look at the film –starring Robert Pattinson – during DC FanDome's virtual event. The 2:23 minute trailer was shared by the film's official Twitter page earlier today (August 23). The fairly bleak trailer, soundtracked by Nirvana's dour 'Something in the Way', gives us our first insight into Pattinson's portrayal of both the Dark Knight and Bruce Wayne. The trailer also gives us our first look at Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Paul Dano as The Riddler and Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman. | Russia's COVID-19 vaccine to complete clinical trial in September - vestnik kavkaza Posted: 22 Aug 2020 11:08 PM PDT  The clinical trial of a Russian COVID-19 vaccine being developed by the Siberian Vektor research centre is due to be completed in September, according to Russia's healthcare watchdog. The watchdog added that all the volunteers taking part in the clinical trials of the COVID-19 vaccine are feeling fine. "14 persons were vaccinated during the first phase, and 43 more during the second phase. Forty-three more volunteers from the placebo control group received a placebo", Rospotrebnadzor said. The watchdog went on to say that the volunteers only experienced sensitivity at the injection site, but other than that did not have any side effects, Sputnik reported. Last week, Russia registered the world's first COVID-19 vaccine, named Sputnik V and developed by the Gamaleya Institute. The vaccine has been tested on 76 volunteers separately at two institutions — the Moscow-based Sechenov University and the Russian Defenсe Ministry's Burdenko Main Military Clinical Hospital. The teaser was unveiled, as promised, at the ongoing DC Fandome event. Production on the film was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, and is expected to resume by September. While most reports suggest that a substantial portion of filming remains, the teaser packs in a surprising amount of not just footage, but also glimpses at the various villains Reeves has reinvented, and the mystery plot at the centre of the film. Pattinson's Batman makes a brutal entry towards the end of the teaser, when he beats down a thug -- much like in the Arkham video games -- and announces, "I am vengeance." His voice isn't as raspy as the one Christian Bale put on during his tenure, nor is it as robotic as Ben Affleck's. It merely rises above a whisper. The teaser suggests that the primary antagonist of the film will be Paul Dano's Riddler, but also provides looks at Zoe Kravitz' Catwoman, and an unrecognisable Colin Farrell as the Penguin. It is scored to the tunes of Nirvana's Something in the Way, which sounds like it has been fused together with Michael Giacchino's new Batman theme. "Without being an origin story for him, it's something that touches upon his origins," Reeves had said. The 24-year-old ended the 2019-20 campaign with 23 goals to his name to make him the club's top scorer - one more than Marcus Rashford. Martial's previous best season in front of goal saw him strike 17 times across the 2015-16 season after he first joined the Red Devils from Monaco. The Frenchman made 10 more appearances this season than the campaign prior and admits that increase, combined with the manager's faith, played a big part in his strong goalscoring return. "I think it's down to the fact that I've enjoyed more game time. I've played in practically every game and so I think it's all about consistency," Martial told the Inside United magazine. "In previous seasons I haven't been able to feature as regularly; I'd be on the bench quite a bit and other times I'd be starting, which was quite difficult. Whereas right now I know that the coach has faith in me and I'm confident of starting the next match. So, I'm giving everything I can in order to pay back that trust he has shown. "[I'm hungry for all goals] because for me, a goal is a goal. So simply by managing to score more of a simple kind of goal, I know that I'll score a lot more in total. It's something that we work on a lot in training and I then try and reproduce that in a match situation." Martial has struck up a good relationship with Rashford and believes they're now able to link up selflessly in the final third. "With Marcus, I think that we've been playing together for five seasons now and so, yes, we have that good understanding. It's a real positive for us that we have this great connection," Martial added. "We just try to help each other out. For example, there are some games where maybe a shot is on and then I decide to wait and see, and I give him the ball because I want him to score. And he does the same thing for me, so you see, we're not just focused on scoring all the time. "We're always going to do everything we can for the team to win which means that, if he is better placed than me or I'm in a better position than him, we'll always give each other the ball in order to score. "There is healthy competition, but the biggest thing is the positive rapport that we have with one another." Young Red Devils attacker Mason Greenwood has also shown his promise in front of goal over the past 12 months with Martial impressed by what he's seen from the 18-year-old. "The thing that strikes me about Mason is how effective and clinical he is. I get the feeling that whenever he shoots on goal, he scores," he said. "It's up to us to keep training hard and working to perfect how that trio works together. We mustn't forget either that there are other players [in the squad] who are pushing really hard to get a game. So, as I say, we need to keep going and have to perform well in order to be able to play and win our games." | Naby Keita nets in Liverpool friendly win over Stuttgart - Goal.com Posted: 22 Aug 2020 07:42 PM PDT  Naby Keita scored as Liverpool recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over VfB Stuttgart in a pre-season friendly on Saturday. The Reds started plans ahead of the 2020-21 season having won the Premier League in the previous campaign, doing so for the first time since 1990 and with an accumulated 99 points, 18 points clear of Manchester City in second place. Jurgen Klopp selected a strong starting line-up that included Egypt and Senegal forwards Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. Keita meanwhile started in midfield alongside Brazil international Fabinho and Curtis Jones. Liverpool took the lead in the 15th minute thanks to another Brazilian in Roberto Firmino before Keita made it 2-0 five minutes to the half-time break. The Guinean was replaced by James Milner at the start of the second half.
The Merseyside outfit had one more say which came in the 68th minute via Rhian Brewster who impressed on loan at Swansea City during the second half of the Championship, netting 10 goals which was only bettered by Ghana international and Swans vice-captain Andre Ayew who had 15 goals. Keita played 27 times in all competitions last season which could have been more had it not been for various injury problems. He did have more involvement for Liverpool at the restart of the league, playing in all the remaining nine games which ended in five victories, two draws and two defeats. Within this period the former RB Leipzig man had a hand in three goals (one goal, two assists), the goal being a scorcher in a 5-3 win over Chelsea. Overall, he registered two goals and three assists in the top-flight. Keita was also involved in a goal in the Champions League, coming in a 2-0 Group E away win at Red Bull Salzburg. He also found the back of the net in a narrow 2-1 win over Monterrey in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup which Liverpool went on to lift by dispatching Brazilian giants Flamengo in extra-time in the final. His minutes on the pitch for the season totalled 1,395 minutes. Keita will hope to be involved in more games for the upcoming campaign starting with Liverpool's first league game against newly-promoted Leeds United at Anfield on September 12, but before that comes the Community Shield against FA Cup holders Arsenal at Wembley on August 29. PicturesThis weekend's virtual convention DC FanDome featured a host of panels stacked with big names, including Robert Pattinson and director Matt Reeves at The Batman panel. Boy, did they deliver, with The Batman's first major trailer for the DC Comics movie slated for the end of next year. The new DC FanDome footage is dark, brutal and, yep, mysterious. We see in one scene that Pattinson's Dark Knight will bring a violent, unrelenting fighting style. Trying to figure out his role in battling the evil of Gotham, he's unsure how he fits into helping Gotham PD. "We will see Batman grow, make mistakes... and be flawed," Reeves said during the panel. "We also get to see him being the world's greatest detective." We also snatched glimpses of Zoe Kravitz playing Catwoman, John Turturro as Gotham mob boss Carmine Falcone, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth (well, we hear his voice, at least), Paul Dano as Riddler and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon. The cast also includes Colin Farrell as Penguin (who we don't see in the trailer), Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham district attorney Gil Colson and Jayme Lawson as Gotham mayoral candidate Bella Reál.  Batman's control center doesn't look like the sophisticated Batcave fans might be used to. Warner Bros. PicturesReeves said during the panel that all the villains are just starting out, so we'll see Catwoman, Penguin and Riddler in the early stages of their criminal endeavors. Plot-wise, the trailer hints Batman will hunt a shadowy killer, following the noir-influenced The Long Halloween comic book storyline that sees Falcone hiring the Rogues Gallery of Batman villains, including Catwoman and Penguin, to take him down. We'll also find Batman in his early years -- Year Two, to be exact. It's worth noting that the movie will not take place on the same Earth as other DC movies like Justice League, Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Reeves, best known for The Planet of the Apes movies, dropped a screen test of Pattinson rocking the cape earlier this year. In the panel, Reeves also briefly talked about the upcoming HBO Max spinoff series that centers on Year One when Gotham's police department is embedded with corruption. The series will be from the point of view from a cop grappling with right and wrong, while trying to save his own soul. | Man Utd star Martial explains reasons behind career-best season in front of goal - Goal Posted: 22 Aug 2020 05:42 PM PDT Anthony Martial believes increased game time at Manchester United and the trust of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer resulted in his most successful season in front of goal. The 24-year-old ended the 2019-20 campaign with 23 goals to his name to make him the club's top scorer - one more than Marcus Rashford. Martial's previous best season in front of goal saw him strike 17 times across the 2015-16 season after he first joined the Red Devils from Monaco. The Frenchman made 10 more appearances this season than the campaign prior and admits that increase, combined with the manager's faith, played a big part in his strong goalscoring return. "I think it's down to the fact that I've enjoyed more game time. I've played in practically every game and so I think it's all about consistency," Martial told the Inside United magazine. "In previous seasons I haven't been able to feature as regularly; I'd be on the bench quite a bit and other times I'd be starting, which was quite difficult. Whereas right now I know that the coach has faith in me and I'm confident of starting the next match. So, I'm giving everything I can in order to pay back that trust he has shown. "[I'm hungry for all goals] because for me, a goal is a goal. So simply by managing to score more of a simple kind of goal, I know that I'll score a lot more in total. It's something that we work on a lot in training and I then try and reproduce that in a match situation." Martial has struck up a good relationship with Rashford and believes they're now able to link up selflessly in the final third. "With Marcus, I think that we've been playing together for five seasons now and so, yes, we have that good understanding. It's a real positive for us that we have this great connection," Martial added. "We just try to help each other out. For example, there are some games where maybe a shot is on and then I decide to wait and see, and I give him the ball because I want him to score. And he does the same thing for me, so you see, we're not just focused on scoring all the time. "We're always going to do everything we can for the team to win which means that, if he is better placed than me or I'm in a better position than him, we'll always give each other the ball in order to score. "There is healthy competition, but the biggest thing is the positive rapport that we have with one another." Young Red Devils attacker Mason Greenwood has also shown his promise in front of goal over the past 12 months with Martial impressed by what he's seen from the 18-year-old. "The thing that strikes me about Mason is how effective and clinical he is. I get the feeling that whenever he shoots on goal, he scores," he said. "It's up to us to keep training hard and working to perfect how that trio works together. We mustn't forget either that there are other players [in the squad] who are pushing really hard to get a game. "He's always excited when I'm on a phone call with him," Artis said of Elston. "He wants to make sure me and the family are doing well. I'll tell him about my workout program, and he loves it.
