急成長のデジタルライブエンターテインメント市場、2024年には約1000億円規模に――CyberZとOEN調査 - ITmedia マーケティング

　新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大に伴い、リアルな会場で開催される音楽や演劇などライブの開催自粛が相次ぎました。ぴあ総研によると、2020年のライブエンターテインメント全体の市場規模は1836億円、前年比70.8％減と見込まれるなど、業界全体に深刻な影響を及ぼしています。

　そこで注目を集めているのが有料デジタル配信（デジタルライブエンターテインメント）。現在、国内において急速に拡大するデジタルライブエンターテインメント市場の動向はどうなっているのでしょうか。サイバーエージェント連結子会社のCyberZとOENが、デジタルインファクトと共同で調査しました。

　同調査では、2020年のデジタルライブエンターテインメント市場規模は140億円に達し、翌2021年には、前年比約2.2倍の314億円規模と急拡大を予測しています。

ライブエンターテインメントデジタル化の課題

PM warns Vietnam has only weeks to avoid major outbreak

Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc warned the nation during a cabinet meeting on Monday that it needs to move quickly to curtail the coronavirus outbreak that began in the coastal city of last month to prevent it from reaching a "major scale," according to a post on the government's website.

The "early August period" is a decisive time to tamp down the outbreak, Phuc said, according to the government's website. Ho Chi Minh City's disease control centre forecasts the virus outbreak will continue rising and spread quickly, according to the agency's website.

Vietnam is testing all residents of Da Nang, the city at the centre of a coronavirus outbreak with 1.1 million people, Tuoi Tre newspaper reported. More than 1.4 million people had travelled to the coastal city since July 1, and returned to their home provinces and cities, while about 42,000 people had visited three hospitals where most of the infections occurred, the government said.

The financial hub of Ho Chi Minh City recorded three cases after testing nearly 24,000 residents as of Monday out of 36,754 who said they visited Da Nang in the past month, its centre of disease control said. Hanoi has quick-tested nearly 68,000 people who returned from Da Nang as of Sunday, according to the city's government, which said an estimated 83,937 of its residents had been in the coastal city since July 8.

Officials in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have ordered bars to close and a suspension of large gatherings. The nation's tally is now 621 cases, including 242 under treatment and six deaths, according to the health ministry.

Duterte reimposing lockdown on Manila area

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is reimposing a moderate lockdown in the capital and outlying provinces after medical groups appealed for the move as coronavirus infections surge alarmingly.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said on Monday that metropolitan Manila, the capital region of more than 12 million people, and five densely populated provinces will revert to stricter quarantine restrictions for two weeks starting Tuesday. Mass public transport will be barred and only essential travel will be allowed.

Leaders of nearly 100 medical organisations held a rare online news conference on Saturday and warned that the and may collapse as health workers fall ill or resign from exhaustion and fear.

They asked Duterte to reimpose a tight lockdown in the capital to allow health workers "a time out" and allow the government to recalibrate its response to the pandemic.

The number of Covid-19 cases in the Philippines surged past 103,000 on Sunday and is second-most in Southeast Asia.

Travellers to Singapore to wear monitoring devices

will require some incoming travellers who are serving their 14-day stay-home notices outside of dedicated facilities to wear an electronic monitoring device to ensure compliance, the government said.

The rule will come into effect August 10 and will apply to Singapore citizens, permanent residents, long-term pass holders and work pass holders, the government said.

Those 12 years old and below will be exempted from this requirement. Upon arrival in the city state, travellers will be issued the device after immigration clearance, according to the statement.

Authorities will follow up with travellers if device is not activated upon reaching their place of residence.The devices use GPS and 4G/Bluetooth signals to determine if individuals are within the range of their place of residence.

Earlier, the Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Education and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority have been monitoring compliance via a combination of manual and automated text messages along with phone and video calls.

South Korea cases drop

South Korea has confirmed 23 additional cases of the coronavirus, amid a downward trend in the number of locally infected patients. The additional cases announced on Monday by the Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention took the country's total to 14,389 with 301 deaths.

The agency said 20 new cases came from overseas while the rest were locally infected. Health authorities have said imported cases are less threatening to the wider community as they enforce two-week quarantines on all people arriving from abroad.

Japan PM stops wearing 'Abenomask'

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Monday he has stopped wearing his much-touted government-sponsored mask, which and slow delivery to the public, as different options have become available.

Since Saturday, Abe has stopped donning what became known as the "Abenomask," a tiny washable cloth face mask which has been derided by critics as a symbol of an out-of-step policy against the coronavirus pandemic. The premier began wearing the controversial mask, which rode up on his face, in April.

Donning a mask that fully covered his lower chin, Abe told reporters, "This is also a cloth mask. Since various masks are now available, I would like to ask all people to cooperate in preventing infection" by wearing face masks.

The government started providing the tiny cloth masks to every household in April to solve the mask shortage at the time, but they proved highly unpopular and soon earned the name Abenomask, a pun on his signature "Abenomics" economic policy mix.

So far, 130 million of the masks have been provided to households nationwide, with billions of yen spent on the policy.

While there was a plan to deliver an additional 80 million cloth masks to nursing homes and other facilities, the government is scrapping it after opposition parties and some of the public criticised the move as inefficient and wasteful. The government is now considering giving the masks only to those who wish for them and stockpiling the remainder.

India infections hit 1.8 million

India reported 52,972 new coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 1.8 million, data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare showed on Monday.

With 771 new deaths, the respiratory disease has now claimed 38,135 lives in the world's second-most populous country.

Meanwhile, Indian health authorities have given approval to the Serum Institute of India for conducting phase two and three trials of a Covid-19 vaccine candidate developed by the University of Oxford.

The approval came late Sunday from the Drugs Controller General of India. At least 1,600 adults will participate in the trials.

Serum, the world's largest maker of vaccines by volume, is mass-producing the vaccine candidate developed by the University of Oxford. It's one of several candidates being developed.

Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa tests positive for COVID-19 - The New Indian Express

BENGALURU: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Sunday night announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19. In a tweet, the 78-year-old BJP veteran said that he is healthy but has been advised hospitalisation.

Incidentally, the announcement came hours after Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted about testing positive for coronavirus. BS Yediyurappa will remain hospitalised at Manipal Hospital of Bengaluru.

"I have tested positive for coronavirus. Whilst I am fine, I am being hospitalised as a precaution on the recommendation of doctors. I request those who have come in contact with me recently to be observant and exercise self quarantine(SIC)" tweeted BS Yediyurappa on Sunday evening.

The chief minister had home quarantined himself twice earlier after staff at his official residence had tested positive on two different occasions. The infection, CMO officials said, was detected during routine weekly tests conducted for the Chief Minister.

"He is asymptomatic but coronavirus was detected during the weekly routine test. Although he wanted to practice home quarantine, doctors have suggested that he be hospitalised," said a CMO source.

All of CM's personal staff have been tested and results are awaited.

Meanwhile, Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar was one of the first cabinet ministers to react. "A fighter by birth, people's leader and the State's beloved chief minister BS Yediyurappa has tested positive for COVID19. I pray for his speedy recovery. Wishes and prayers of the people of the state are with you. You will recover quickly and return to work as usual very soon," Sudhakar tweeted.

Last week, the chief minister accompanied by Home Minister Basavraj Bommai had met Governor Vajubhai Vala apart from his cabinet colleagues.

The chief minister had participated in a metro line inauguration event last week and had met Prof Kasturirangan to congratulate him for the National Education Policy.

This alert, BS Yediyurappa has been holding meetings of senior officials and was scheduled to hold one on Monday too. The chief minister has appealed for all those who came in contact with him to isolate themselves.

Microsoft says CEO Satya Nadella has talked to Trump about buying TikTok - The Verge

In a blog post Sunday, Microsoft said it was "prepared to continue discussions to explore a purchase of TikTok in the United States," following a conversation between its CEO Satya Nadella and President Trump. It's the first time the company has confirmed reports it was in talks to acquire the video sharing platform.

"Microsoft fully appreciates the importance of addressing the President's concerns. It is committed to acquiring TikTok subject to a complete security review and providing proper economic benefits to the United States, including the United States Treasury," the blog post reads. It adds that the company expects to move "quickly to pursue discussions with TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, in a matter of weeks, and in any event completing these discussions no later than September 15, 2020."

The blog post also says that "the two companies have provided notice of their intent to explore a preliminary proposal that would involve a purchase of the TikTok service in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand and would result in Microsoft owning and operating TikTok in these markets."

It's unclear how Microsoft would sever those countries from other areas where TikTok operates, like Europe and Africa. Microsoft also did not commit to undertaking the purchase entirely on its own, saying that the company "may invite other American investors to participate on a minority basis in this purchase."

President Trump had threatened to ban TikTok in the US on Friday. Trump indicated to reporters that he was ready to sign a document to order the TikTok ban as early as Saturday, either via an executive order or emergency economic powers.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo mentioned the possibility of a ban as early as July 7th, saying it was "something we're looking at." TikTok is a subsidiary of Beijing-based ByteDance, and critics have called out its privacy practices and potential ties to the Chinese government. Pompeo also compared TikTok to Huawei and ZTE, two Chinese companies that have been designated as threats to US national security.

The blog post describes the discussions as "preliminary," but addresses the privacy concerns, saying the company would "ensure that all private data of TikTok's American users is transferred to and remains in the United States.

"To the extent that any such data is currently stored or backed-up outside the United States," the post continues, "Microsoft would ensure that this data is deleted from servers outside the country after it is transferred."

Aubameyang would warrant £500,000-a-week contract at Arsenal - Groves - Goal

Former Arsenal attacker Perry Groves believes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could warrant a £500,000-a-week contract after his FA Cup final heroics.

Aubameyang scored both goals in the club's 2-1 win over Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday which secured the Gunners' spot in the Europa League next season.

The match was deemed crucial in Arsenal's hopes of convincing Aubameyang to re-sign, with his current contract set to expire next year.

Manager Mikel Arteta has made no secret of his desire to keep the striker in his squad and recently declared he could become a club legend if he remains long-term at the Emirates.

Aubameyang himself refused to address his immediate future after the FA Cup final with Groves admitting he wouldn't be worried if Arsenal had to offer a huge weekly salary in order to secure his services, noting that some players are worth it.

"I don't care as an Arsenal fan, and I know we're in difficult financial times, if they said Aubameyang is on £400,000, £500,000 a week, it wouldn't bother me at all because some players warrant it," Groves told TalkSPORT.

"Some players warrant it and he does because he delivers. Fans get the hump with players that get a lot of money and don't deliver and don't look like they care."

Groves, who labelled Mesut Ozil '"selfish" for not taking part in Arsenal's decisive FA Cup clash against Chelsea, believes the Gunners' triumph in the competition means more than finishing second in the Premier League.

"I think your club's history is made by the trophies you win," Groves said.

"I'd rather win the FA Cup than finish second in the Premier League because those players there, they have now embellished themselves on Arsenal's history. Arsenal fans will remember that game and that group of players.

"If you come second, third or fourth [in the league] no-one really remembers you - you're not part of the fabric of that football club."

The Gunners' FA Cup win made up for a poor season in the Premier League with Arteta's side finishing eighth following a poor start to the campaign under former manager Unai Emery.

Wenger open to managerial return but only under 'optimal conditions' - Goal

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed he's open to coaching again one day but only under conditions he deems as "optimal".

Wenger departed the Gunners after 22 years in 2018 and is currently working as FIFA's new Chief of Global Football Development.

While eager to make the most of his new position, the Frenchman admits he's missing being a manager and concedes he could make a return if the right position presents itself.

"Every day, I want to train, I've been doing this all my life," Wenger told Europe 1.

"I'm 70 years old, I gave a lot. Should I play Russian roulette a bit, even when it comes to my health? I can't do things by halves, so I ask myself this question."

Asked what it would take for him to manage again, Wenger replied: "It will be in conditions that I consider optimal. Otherwise, I will not do it."

Wenger officially joined FIFA in November last year with the former Arsenal manager refuting reports at the time that Bayern Munich wanted him to replace Niko Kovac.

Though still getting used to his new role and eager to make an impact, Wenger hinted he's not a massive fan of being stuck inside when he previously conducted much of his work out on the pitch.

"I smelled the grass every morning, and today I am more in muffled, administrative environments, and in offices. So obviously, I feel a bit of an intruder in there," he said.

"I want to create the most efficient analysis center in the world at FIFA. I know it is very ambitious, but you will see that at the World Cup in 2022 we will produce match analySes which will be extremely efficient.

"I'm in the process of hiring a lot of people at this level right now. And I think there is still a lot of progress to be made in the way we see football."

The 70-year-old recently declared Paris-Saint Germain and Manchester City as his favourites to take out this season's Champions League when it resumes this week.

Both sides must still navigate the second legs of their last-16 ties with PSG trailing Lyon 1-0 and City holding a 2-1 lead over Real Madrid.

　NHK総合のドラマ枠「ドラマ10」（毎週金曜　後10：00）の新作として、女優の浜辺美波と俳優の岡田将生がダブル主演する『タリオ　復讐代行の2人』（10月9日スタート、全7話）の制作が発表された。

　タイトルにもあるように、主人公の2人が、復讐を望む依頼人たちの願いに寄り添い、時に痛快に、時にほろ苦く、時に考えさせられる「復讐劇」を1話完結の全7話、オリジナルで描く。

　脚本には、『トリック』の蒔田光治氏をはじめ、刑事ドラマやミステリー作品でも活躍する瀧本智行氏、渡辺雄介氏、徳永富彦氏らが名を連ね、浜辺が出演した映画『屍人荘の殺人』で監督を務めた木村ひさし氏が演出する、痛快でポップな新感覚"復讐"エンターテインメント。

　この世には、明らかな悪事を働きながら罰せられずのうのうと生きている人間たちが数多くいる。ある者は巧みに法の網をかいくぐり、またある者は金や権力を使って事件をもみ消し…。このドラマは、そういった泣き寝入りをせざるを得ない被害者からの依頼を受け、彼らの代わりに卑劣な悪人たちに復讐する事を裏稼業とする元弁護士・白沢真実（まみ）と詐欺師・黒岩賢介の物語。

　全7話を通して、巨大詐欺事件の首謀者と疑われたために行方をくらました父の謎を真実が追うストーリーも展開。彼女の父はぬれぎぬを着せられた正義の士なのか？　それとも悪の首謀者だったのか？　浜辺と岡田のコメントは以下のとおり。

　『タリオ　復讐代行の2人』にて白沢真実役を演じることとなりました浜辺美波です。今回、オリジナルの脚本で"復讐代行請負人"という、なんとも面白そうな肩書きでどんな女の子にしようかなと想像が掻き立てられます。肩書きに負けないようなキャラクターを演じられればと思っています！　蒔田さんの脚本を木村監督をはじめとする皆さんとどう作り上げていけるのか、木村監督とは2 度目なので、今回はどう調理されるのだろうと心強いばかりです！　この秋、最後にスカッとするような最高の復讐代行劇をお届けできるよう精一杯頑張ります！

■岡田将生のコメント
　『タリオ　復讐代行の2人』。とてもおもしろくなりそうです。今回は詐欺師を演じさせて頂くのですが、台本が面白くて。浜辺さんとは初めて共演させていただくのですが、お互いマウントを取りたがる役で…この凸凹コンビを皆さんに愛してもらえるキャラクターにできるよう頑張ります。毎週みなさまに放送を楽しみに待ってもらえるようなドラマにしたいと思っています！

■あらすじ
　司法試験予備試験の制度を利用し、20歳にして弁護士となり、大手法律事務所に就職した白沢真実（浜辺）は法律の知識は確かなのだが世間知らずと頭の固さのせいで仕事をまわしてもらえずいる。そんなある日、事務所の先輩弁護士が手を引いたお荷物案件を担当することに。

　依頼人の綿貫依里子は大手ゼネコンの御曹司に性被害を受けていたが、金や権力によって事実をねじ曲げられ、泣き寝入りを強いられていた。我慢できなかった依里子はネットで探した「復讐代行請負業」の男に復讐を依頼することにする。しかし復讐代行はどうも怪しく、金を振り込むも一向に復讐に着手する気配がない。詐欺だと確信した真実は法的に対処するため依里子に男を誘い出させる。誘い出された男こそ、詐欺師の黒岩賢介（岡田）だった。

　法律の知識を持った正義のヒロインと詐欺の悪知恵を持ったダークヒーローが
ひょんなことからバディを組み、依里子のかたきである・御曹司に復讐を仕掛けることになる。

『半沢直樹』伊佐山「お前の負けぇーーー！！」にSNS反響伸ばした部分は3秒超 - クランクイン！

　俳優の堺雅人が主演を務めるドラマ『半沢直樹』（TBS系／毎週日曜21時）の第3話が2日に放送。毎度アクの強すぎるキャラが話題になる市川猿之助演じる伊佐山だが、今週は半沢（堺）に放った「お前の負けぇーー！！」が視聴者に大ウケ。SNS上で話題となった。

　大手IT企業「電脳雑技集団」の買収相手「スパイラル」とのアドバイザー契約を正式に結び、親会社・東京中央銀行と全面戦争へと突入した半沢。半沢がスパイラル社長の瀬名（尾上松也）に提案したのは、電脳雑技集団と裏でつながっていたIT企業「フォックス」を買収することだった。

　そんなある日、セントラル証券に黒崎（片岡愛之助）ら証券取引等監視委員会が立ち入り検査にやってくる。間一髪で検査を切り抜け、正式に「スパイラル」と「フォックス」が手を組むことになり、「スパイラル」株は急上昇。「電脳雑技集団」からの買収を逃れられたと思われたが、東京中央銀行は500億の追加融資をすることを決定する。

　半沢に電話を掛け、そのことを伝える伊佐山。笑いをこらえきれないといった勝ち誇った声色で、「半沢ざまぁ〜〜みろぉ」とつぶやくと、迫真の表情で「お前の負けぇーーー！！」と電話口に叫び通話を切る。そのことを聞いた半沢はがく然とした表情を見せるのだった…。

　第1話では、「知らない。知らないね。知らないよ」の"3段活用"、第2話では半沢に「詫びろ」を8連発で迫るなど、毎話そのアクの強いキャラクターと市川の芝居が話題になる伊佐山。今回の「お前の負けぇーーー！！」も「今週の名言」「めっちゃ笑う」「名言出たー」など大反響。ちなみに「お前の負けぇーーー！！」の伸ばした部分「ーーー！！」の長さを計測してみたところ、3秒を超えていた。

NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley were strapped into Crew Dragon and ready to go prior to the launch scrub on May 27.

The first return of a commercially built and operated US spacecraft carrying two NASA astronauts from the International Space Station made waves Sunday when it splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico right as scheduled at 11:48 a.m. PT.

The SpaceX Crew Dragon passengers -- NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley -- fittingly named the history-making spacecraft Endeavour. The astronauts safely exited the spacecraft on Sunday afternoon after a recovery at sea.

NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine welcomed the astronauts home in a tweet.

Crew Dragon undocked from the ISS at 4:35 p.m. PT on Saturday, kicking off the crucial final leg of the crewed test mission that's meant to prove SpaceX is ready to carry astronauts back and forth to the ISS on a regular basis. Crew Dragon had previously aced its uncrewed Demo-1 test flight back in March.

NASA TV livestreamed the crew capsule's return and was scheduled to broadcast a follow-up news conference at 1:30 p.m. PT on Sunday.

Behnken and Hurley arrived at the ISS in late May after a smooth launch. The return schedule was initially uncertain due to the arrival of a major storm along the Florida coast.

Crew Dragon had seven potential splashdown sites in the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean to choose from. A spot off the coast of Pensacola, Florida, won the honor. The weather held out nicely, giving the astronauts calm waters to land in.

A SpaceX recovery ship named GO Navigator was on location to retrieve the capsule, crew and parachutes. In a news conference on Friday, Behnken and Hurley said they would have bags ready in case they experienced seasickness while waiting for pickup by the recovery crew. The astronauts reported they were doing well after splashdown.

The splashdown followed a tense reentry process that put a lot of heat and stress on the spacecraft. Crew Dragon's parachutes deployed as it closed in on its target and brought it gently down into the sea. Scorch marks on the capsule were a testament to the rigors of its return journey.

There was a delay in opening the Crew Dragon hatch on board GO Navigator as the recovery crew purged toxic vapor fumes from around the capsule.

Hurley and Behnken were taken to a medical facility on the ship for initial checkups as part of the standard return procedures. They were scheduled for a helicopter ride back to shore.

"To anybody who has touched Endeavour, you should take a moment to just cherish this day," said Hurley during the exit from Crew Dragon.

If the Demo-2 mission assessment goes smoothly, then NASA and SpaceX will move forward with the first operational Crew Dragon mission, which is scheduled to launch later this year.

The safe return of Behnken and Hurley opens up a new future for US spaceflight. It fulfills the promise of NASA's Commercial Crew Program and its quest to end the space agency's dependence on Russian spacecraft to carry its astronauts to the ISS.

Microsoft said Sunday it has discussed with President Trump its plan to acquire TikTok's U.S. operations, just as the White House threatens to blacklist the hugely popular Chinese-owned app.

"Following a conversation between Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and President Donald J. Trump, Microsoft is prepared to continue discussions to explore a purchase of TikTok in the United States," the software giant said in a blog post.

It's Microsoft's first public acknowledgement that it's in talks to take over TikTok, a deal that could be worth billions of dollars. News of the talks first trickled out on Friday.

An acquisition of TikTok would open up a vast user base of digitally savvy teens and 20-somethings for Microsoft, a $1.5 trillion company that owns Xbox, LinkedIn and Skype, in addition to its legacy Windows software products.

It is unclear if such a deal would mollify the Trump administration, which has for weeks vowed to clamp down on the app over fears that TikTok's Beijing-based parent company, ByteDance, could turn over personal data about American citizens to the Chinese Communist Party.

On Saturday, Trump told reporters he does not support an American company seizing control of TikTok's U.S. assets, but Microsoft's announcement on Sunday appears to indicate that the parties may have been able to hammer out terms that placate Trump.

TikTok, which has been downloaded more than 180 million times in the U.S., says it has never received a request from Chinese authorities and that the company would deny any such attempt to review the data of U.S. citizens. But experts who study Chinese law say Beijing has broad powers to compel private companies to comply with government requests for information if any such request was sought.

TikTok has landed in the White House's cross hairs amid a moment in which the Trump administration has turned up the heat on China, at first over the the country's handling of the coronavirus outbreak. But it has since morphed into a larger fight over the fear that China will attempt to grow its global reach by stealing technological and medical secrets from the U.S.

In its statement, Microsoft said it hopes to complete discussions about acquiring TikTok no later than Sept. 15.

Microsoft is also looking to purchase TikTok's service in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the company said.

The possible merger has been relayed to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, a federal interagency panel that has been considering sanctions against TikTok and even challenging its 2017 acquisition of Musical.ly, a TikTok predecessor that had assembled a large American following and helped fuel TikTok's rise in the U.S.

Microsoft said it would ensure that the private data of TikTok users in the U.S. remains in America.

"To the extent that any such data is currently stored or backed-up outside the United States, Microsoft would ensure that this data is deleted from servers outside the country after it is transferred," Microsoft sad.

TikTok says none of its data on U.S. citizens is stored in China. Instead, the company says it maintains servers in Virginia with backup storage in Singapore.

TikTok maintains that its ByteDance headquarters in Beijing does not have direct access to data linked to its U.S. users.

Some in the Trump administration remain skeptical about a deal.

Peter Navarro, Trump's trade adviser, suggested on Fox News on Saturday that a Microsoft-TikTok merger would not resolve the administration's national security concerns.

Microsoft, Navarro said, is the "software that the People's Liberation Army and Chinese government run on," he said. "Microsoft helped China build its great firewall that is used to surveil and monitor and censor and imprison sometimes, the Chinese people."

Viral: Man finds lizard in sambar at Delhi's top restaurant, FIR lodged - DNA India

A well known South Indian eatery in Delhi is under the radar after a dead lizard was found in a bowl of sambar.

The incident came to limelight when Pankaj Agarwal visited the restaurant in Delhi's posh Connaught Place area with his friends and found a lizard in his food.

Saravana Bhavan is one of the most popular restaurants and is usually seen packed with people even on weekdays.

The man who visited the restaurant made a video of the whole incident which went viral on social media. In the video, few people are seen yelling at who appears to be the restaurant staff.

In a video, you can see the man holding out the lizard on a spoon and rest half-eaten food is kept in the background. "Muh se nikala hai yeh bite, aadhi gayab hai", the man can be heard saying.

The man later filed a complaint against the restaurant for the act. A case has been registered under Section 269 of the IPC and IPC 336.

Saravana Bhavan is one of the largest south Indian restaurant chains in the world, with 39 outlets in the country and 87 joints abroad. It was founded in Chennai in 1981.

The NBA and NHL have both been officially back in action for less than a week. Who would have thought that hockey would bring a legitimate buzzer beater before basketball? Well, on Sunday the Colorado Avalanche defeated the St. Louis Blues in the most dramatic way possible.

With the score locked 1-1 as the final seconds of regulation ticked away during a Colorado power play, the Avs applied immense pressure in the offensive zone. The Blues were hanging on for dear life and it looked like they might be able to narrowly escape.

Then Nazem Kadri found himself in the right place at the right time... with juuuuuuust enough time remaining: somewhere between 0.1 and 0.0.

The goal went to review and replays revealed precisely how close it was. Spoiler alert: It really couldn't have been any closer.

You'll be hard pressed to find a thinner margin between 0.1 and 0.0 with the puck crossing the goal line than this instance right here. It might be the ultimate hockey buzzer-beater, and it gave Colorado a big win in their first official game of the NHL restart.

Both the Avs and Blues are competing in the NHL's round-robin stage, which means that they're safe from elimination until the Round of 16 but are vying for seeding (spots 1-4 in the conference) in a three-game set against the other top teams in the West. The round robin stage uses a regular season points format, meaning the Colorado's last-second win not only secures them two points in the round-robin stage, but it also prevents St. Louis from earning at least one point by getting to overtime.

　覚せい剤や危険ドラッグを所持したとして、覚せい剤取締法違反罪などに問われた歌手の槇原敬之被告（５１）の判決が３日、東京地裁であった。坂田正史裁判官は「違法薬物に対する抵抗感の乏しさを背景にした悪質な犯行」と述べ、懲役２年、執行猶予３年（求刑懲役２年）を言い渡した。被告側は起訴内容を認め、寛大な判決を求めていた。

　坂田裁判官は判決で、「非難を免れず、刑事責任は軽くない」とする一方、「反省の態度を示し、二度と違法薬物に手を出さないことを誓っている。覚せい剤取締法違反の前科があるが、かなり古いものだ」と指摘した。
　黒っぽいスーツにマスク姿で証言台に立った槇原被告。裁判官から「次は実刑の可能性が高くなります。慎重に行動してください」と語り掛けられ、じっと聞き入った。

　委員会の統括検査官として東京セントラル証券にやってきたのは、金融庁の黒崎。彼の狙いは東京セントラル証券にあるはずの"フォックス買収計画書"。黒崎は半沢と再会するなり「ここでも随分、オイタしてるんじゃないのぉ？」と宣戦布告し、委員会メンバーにオフィスを調べるよう命令する。

　委員会メンバーの男がシュレッダーの中の紙くずを復元するべくオフィスを出ようとすると、黒崎は「ここでおやんなさいよぉ」と指示。男が「この量をですかぁ？」と聞き返すと、黒崎は怒りの形相で男の急所をわしづかみにし「何口答えしてんの…やれって言ったらやんるのよぉ…あんた男でしょ」と命令する。前作でも見せた黒崎の"急所づかみ"に、ネット上には「で、でた〜」「パワーアップしてる！」などの声が集まった。

　黒崎は半沢のパソコンを取り上げると、部下と共にクラウド上にあるはずの"フォックス買収計画書"を探そうとする。黒崎は作業をしている部下の隣で「直樹がねぇ…ネットでヨチヨチかくれんぼ♪」と童謡「かわいいかくれんぼ」の替え歌を口ずさむ。この描写に、ネット上には「かくれんぼの歌やめいwww」「その歌なにwwww」といったツッコミが寄せられ、さらに「黒崎来ると盛り上がるわー」「前作の10倍くらいテンション高め」「黒崎さん、最高！大好き!!」などのコメントが相次いでいた。

Another fake Pelosi video goes viral on Facebook - CNN

A similarly false video of Pelosi went viral on Facebook in May 2019. At the time, Pelosi blasted Facebook for not removing the video. Facebook had instead applied a fact-check label to it.

Facebook did not remove the new video on Sunday either, meaning it can still be viewed on the platform but a warning label has been placed on it. Videos marked false are also promoted less by Facebook's algorithms, the company says. Facebook said it will also send a notification to people who shared the video to flag the fact check.

That the video was viewed so many times will likely prompt renewed scrutiny of policies on misinformation. The earlier manipulated Pelosi video prompted similar scrutiny.

The video was fact-checked by Facebook's fact-checking partner Lead Stories on Sunday.

The video is from a press conference Pelosi gave in May in which she was asked about false allegations President Donald Trump made about the MSNBC host and former Republican congressman Joe Scarborough.

Hany Farid, a visual forensic expert and professor at the University of California Berkeley, reviewed the video on Sunday and told CNN it had been edited and slowed down.

"This appears to be the same type of manipulation (of) the Speaker Pelosi that made the rounds last year," Farid said.

Farid said the video should be removed under Facebook's manipulated media policy. Facebook spokesperson Andy Stone told CNN Sunday night the video did not break its policies in a way that would warrant it being removed.

Stone told CNN, "Following an incident over a year ago with a previous video of Speaker Pelosi, we took a number of key steps, making it very clear to people on Facebook when a third-party fact-checker determines content to be false and updating our policy to make explicit the kind of manipulated media we will remove. And, as always, when a video is determined false, its distribution is dramatically reduced and people who see it, try to share it, or have already shared it, see warnings alerting them that it's false."

The video was posted by a Facebook user Thursday with the caption, "This is unbelievable, she is blowed out of her mind, I bet this gets taken down!"

The Facebook user used a copy of the video that was originally posted on TikTok, based on a graphic at the end of the video.

That TikTok video, which was posted in May, only had 37,000 views, however.

After CNN asked about the video Sunday, a TikTok spokesperson said the company had removed it for violating its "synthetic media policy."

"Our users value seeing authentic content on TikTok, and we do, too, which is why we remove harmful misleading and deceptive content as we become aware of it," the spokesperson said in a statement.

Copies of the video are also circulating on YouTube.

CNN has reached out to YouTube and Pelosi's office for comment.

Last year, Trevor Yanuszewski spent about $100,000 — including money withdrawn from his 401k retirement plan — to start Hot Dogs and Cool Cats Mobile Grooming, LLC. He went to school, scoured the country for a van, had it retrofitted and registered his business. When Yanuszewski was finally ready to open, it was the realization of a long-time dream — happening at the start of the pandemic.

"I was worried," said Yanuszewski. "I didn't think about the fact that it was a blessing in disguise."

As the stay-at-home order took effect just as Yanuszewski opened his business in late March, he was able to slip into the void left by grooming salons who were forced to shut down. It turns out that mobile grooming is the perfect solution for dog and car care during social distancing.

"They can come to the front door, hand off the dog and that's it," Yanuszewski says. "They can even pay online."

As grooming salons around the state reopened, many had long waits as they tried to service a backlog of grooming clients. That provided another opportunity for Yanuszewski, who was able to book appointments the same week that a potential client called. For six weeks through May and early June he was booked solid. Although business has slowed a bit since then, Yanuszewski is getting many return customers.

"Once they recognize how much I love their animal and how careful I'm going to be, I win some people over," he said.

To try and expand his customer case, Yanuszewski has used some Facebook ads. He's planning to have his website optimized for search engines, so it will be easier for potential customers to find him. In the meantime, he's servicing a large area in the south of the state in order to reach as many customers as possible. Eventually he'd like to focus his business on his hometown of Derry and the surrounding towns, but for now he's happy to travel where business is. He's also learned to prioritize clients who want more than one animal groomed for increased efficiency.

Even as the pandemic and its economic implications drags on, Yanuszewski is confident that Hot Dogs and Cool Cats will have new customers. Last year, Americans spent more than $95 billion on their pets. Even if the recession reduces that, there's still plenty of demand to go around, Yanuszewski believes. While some people see grooming as optional, many of his customers prioritize top-notch care for their pet, he said.

"People love their pets just like they're members of the family. I'm the same with my dogs."

Mobile grooming typically costs up to 40% more than grooming in a salon because it's a premium service, Yanuszewski said. There's no wait, no travel, and no need to worry about your dog waiting in a crate until the groomer is ready for them.

"Mobile grooming is a luxury and a convenience," he said.

During the coronavirus, it's also a way for people to keep their pets healthy and looking great, without risking exposure.

"It is far safer during the pandemic to stay at home while your dog is being groomed," Yanuszewski said. "It's up to the client, but if they prefer, there doesn't have to be any social interaction at all."

MELBOURNE, Australia -- The premier of Australia's hard-hit Victoria state has declared a disaster among sweeping new coronavirus restrictions across Melbourne and elsewhere from Sunday night.

An evening curfew will be implemented across Melbourne from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Premier Daniel Andrews says the state of disaster proclamation gave police greater power.

He says 671 new coronavirus cases had been detected since Saturday, including seven deaths. It comes among a steadily increasing toll in both deaths and infections over the past six weeks in Victoria.

"If we don't make these changes, we're not going to get through this," Andrews said. "We need to do more. That is what these decisions are about."

He said there would be more announcements about workplaces on Monday, including the closure of certain industries.

"I want to ensure all Victorians — supermarkets, the butcher, the baker, food, beverage, groceries, those types of settings — there will be no impact there," he said.

Melbourne residents will only be allowed to shop and exercise within 5 kilometers (3 miles) of their homes. All students across the state will return to home-based learning and child care centers will be closed.

The deaths in Victoria took the national toll to 208.

Also Sunday, New South Wales confirmed its first coronavirus-related death in more than a month as authorities sought to suppress a number of growing clusters at a hotel and several restaurants in Sydney.

In other developments in the Asia-Pacific region:

— India's coronavirus caseload crossed 1.75 million with another spike of 54,735 in the past 24 hours. The new cases are down from 57,118 on Saturday. The Health Ministry on Sunday also reported 853 deaths for a total of 37,364. Randeep Guleria, a top government expert, said that New Delhi and Mumbai may have crossed their peak levels with declining trends. The month of July alone has accounted for more than 1.1 million cases in India. Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said the case fatality rate is progressively reducing and currently stands at 2.18%, one of the lowest globally. Out of the total active cases, only 0.28% are on ventilators, 1.61% need intensive care support and 2.32% oxygen support.

— Indian Home Minister Amit Shah says he has tested positive for the coronavirus and is getting admitted to a hospital on the advice of doctors. Shah, 55, tweeted on Sunday that his health is fine and requested those who had come in his contact to isolate themselves and get tested. Shah is No. 2 in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government. He has been visiting hospitals and holding meetings with top officials as part of the government's massive efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 infections in the country.

— Coronavirus infections in the Philippines surged past 100,000 Sunday after medical groups declared that the country was waging "a losing battle" against the virus and asked the president to reimpose a lockdown in the capital. The Department of Health reported a record-high daily tally of 5,032, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 103,185, including more than 2,000 deaths. The Philippines has the second-most cases in Southeast Asia after Indonesia. President Rodrigo Duterte eased a tough virus lockdown in the capital, Manila, on June 1. After shopping malls and workplaces were partially reopened and limited public transport was allowed, infections spiked sharply with increased virus testing. More than 50,000 infections were reported in less than four weeks.

— Confirmed coronavirus cases are hovering at near record levels in Japan, raising worries the pandemic may be growing more difficult to control. The Tokyo government reported 292 new cases Sunday, about half in their 20s. Japan in total reported 1,540 cases on Saturday— the second straight day the number was above 1,500. Nationwide cases for Sunday will be tallied at midnight. Numbers are usually fewer over the weekend because of fewer tests. Japan has avoided a total lockdown, encouraging business activity while urging people to wear masks, social distance and work from home.

— Vietnam reported three more deaths from the coronavirus on Sunday, raising the country's death toll to six, all in the last few days. The three women who died, aged 53, 84 and 85, were patients at a hospital in Da Nang, Vietnam's most popular beach destination. An outbreak began at a Da Nang hospital a week ago and has spread to other parts of the country, including three of the largest cities, forcing authorities to reimpose virus restrictions. The health ministry also confirmed 32 new cases Sunday, including 16 in Da Nang and nine in neighboring Quang Nam province. Local transmissions were also recorded in Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ngai, as well as Dong Nai and Ha Nam provinces for the first time. All of the new cases were traced back to Da Nang.

— South Korea has reported 30 additional case of the coronavirus, most of them associated with international arrivals. The cases announced Sunday by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention brought the national tally to 14,366 with 301 deaths. The agency says eight of the newly confirmed cases were locally infected while the rest came from overseas. South Korea has recently seen an uptick in imported cases, many of them South Korean construction workers airlifted out of virus-ravaged Iraq and crew members of Russia-flagged cargo ships docked in local ports. Health authorities have said imported cases are less threatening as they continue to enforce two-week quarantines on all people arriving from abroad.

　俳優の高岡蒼佑（38）が3日、自身のインスタグラムを更新。俳優業を引退すると発表した。

　高岡は2日から6回にわたってインスタに自身のこれまでの活動や心境を投稿。深作欣二監督や井筒和幸監督、蜷川幸雄さんなど巨匠たちとの出会いを経て、演じることへの思いや葛藤が赤裸々につづられた。

　日付がかわり3日未明に最後の文章が投稿され「誇らしくもあり、険しくもあった、役者という道から、本日を持って退かせて頂きます。体力はありますが、気力の限界。全て出し尽くし、演りきりました」と俳優業から離れることを宣言。「役者だからいいじゃん、俳優だからいいじゃん。その言葉を真摯に受け取れず、期待の言葉として頂いていたにも関わらず、自分にとってはプレッシャーでしかありませんでした」と胸の内を明かした。

　また、「自分を立派だと思った事は、今までたった一度もありませんでした。誇れる才能も御座いません。期待に応える事が出来ず、本当に申し訳なく思っています。今後はどうかそっとしておいてください」と呼びかけている。

　最後は「自分をここまで育てて頂き、支えて下さった関係者の皆様、心より御礼申し上げます。本日を境に、俳優業をやる事は永遠に御座いません。応援して頂いた皆様、本当にありがとうございました。皆様のご多幸を心よりお祈りしております。関わっていただいた皆様には、格別の感謝を送ります。21年間、本当にありがとうございました」と締めくくった。

　高岡は1999年テレビ朝日系ドラマ『天国のKiss』でデビューし、映画『パッチギ！』『「ROOKIES ルーキーズ』などに出演。2007年6月に女優・宮崎あおい（34）と結婚したが、11年12月に離婚。18年11月には、一般女性と再婚し2児の父となっていたことを自身のインスタグラムで報告した。

In Western Conference round-robin seeding Sunday at Rogers Place, Nazem Kadri scored a power-play goal with 0.1-second remaining in the third period to give the Avalanche a dramatic 2-1 victory over St. Louis in Edmonton.

Officials took nearly seven minutes looking at replays before ruling that Kadri had indeed scored. They were making sure the puck fully crossed the line before there was 0.0 on the clock. The center-ice faceoff was made at 0.1 seconds — the amount of time Colorado led in the game.

"I was aware — not quite to the decimal point but I knew there wasn't much time left," said Kadri, who slapped in a rebound after Gabe Landeskog shot off the post. "I knew (the puck) hit the back of the net before the buzzer went off but I wasn't quite sure if the buzzer was late."

If the goal didn't count, both teams would have been awarded a point, with an extra point to the 3-on-3 overtime or shootout winner. But Colorado, which trailed conference-leading St. Louis by a point with a game in hand when the NHL paused its season March 12, took both points to climb into the conference lead.

"As a team, as a whole, I look at that as a big step forward from our exhibition game," Avs coach Jared Bednar said. "We got some guys who still got to pick it up and fortunately we have a couple games that we can still do that in before we get into the (16-team) playoffs."

Colorado, which trailed 1-0 entering the third, tied it on Ryan Graves's goal early in the final frame. Goalie Philipp Grubauer stopped all 28 shots he faced in the second and third periods after allowing a first-period power-play goal.

"Felt really good, even though it's been a while," said Grubauer, who hadn't played in a meaningful game since Feb. 15, when he was injured in the outdoor game at the Air Force Academy.

Graves' goal was his 10th of the season, and it came after he fumbled a first shot attempt from between the circles.

"I had a Grade-A shot. Obviously worked out. Sometimes things just work out for you," Graves said.

The Avs controlled play in the first period, outshooting the Blues 16-4, but entered the second trailing 1-0. The difference was David Perron's power-play goal at 16:46.

"I was really proud of the guys for sticking in there and battling back," Kadri said. "This is just one game, and we're not going to get too high on it but it's certainly nice to start off with a win."

He added: "I suppose it feels a little bit better against these guys — obviously division rival, great team. So we're happy to get the win. That's as close of a regular playoff game that you can get and that's good preparation moving forward."

Final shots were 38-32 Colorado, which next plays Dallas on Wednesday. The Avs' final round-robin game is Saturday against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The 16-team, best-of-seven series tournament begins Aug. 11.

Footnotes. Avs depth winger Matt Nieto, a primary penalty killer who had played in all 70 regular-season games, was a surprise scratch. He was replaced by Tyson Jost. Only Nieto and defenseman Sam Girard had not previously missed a game for Colorado this season, playing in all 20. "I really liked Jost's competitiveness through training camp. I've liked the intensity he's played with. He just seems real dialed in," Bednar said.
