RANDOLPH, NJ- Randolph Township schools announced via email the re-entry plan for schools which was submitted to the state on Fri. 31. Superintendent Jennifer Fano sent the following message along with the school's tentative plan, pending upcoming NJ legislation.
"Governor Murphy released additional guidance announcing that parents have the option to choose an all-remote learning plan even if schools re-open in the fall. There has also been newly introduced legislation which may force the district to start the year virtually for as few as two months. It’s important to emphasize that how we begin our school year is not a local decision. If presented with the latter scenario, we are prepared to return to fully virtual instruction. The re-entry plan we have submitted today, July 31, 2020 for approval by the local Department of Health and NJDOE proposes that the district resume operations under a hybrid Instruction model. This combination of both in-person and virtual learning is consistent with the requirements of the NJDOE while also taking into consideration the needs expressed by our learning community. The health, safety and well-being of our students and staff is our #1 priority."
