Texas A&M men’s basketball now has nine players entering the transfer portal this offseason.

Freshman guards Jaxson Robinson and LaDamien Bradford announced their decisions via Twitter on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

Robinson appeared in 14 games last season, starting in four. In a total of 137 minutes of action during the, Robinson recorded 30 points, four assists, three steals and one block. He played a season-high 20 minutes against Auburn on Jan. 2, matching his season-high of six points.

The Ada, Okla., native came into Aggieland as a four-star recruit after reclassifying into the 2020 class. Robinson was ranked in the top 50 of the 2021 class, but moved to No. 62 in the nation after entering the 2020 class.

“I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to play at Texas A&M University and I will never forget all the memories I made here,” Robinson wrote in a message posted to Twitter. “To the coaching staff and my teammates, thank you and I appreciate everything. I have decided to enter the transfer portal and get a fresh start.”

Bradford made two starts in the 2020-2021 season, also playing in 14 games. A three-star recruit out of Lincoln, Neb., Bradford played 98 minutes last season, recording five assists, five steals, four points and a block.

“First of all I want to thank Coach Johnson and Coach Williams and the rest of the coaching staff for the opportunity to play at Texas A&M,” Bradford wrote in a message posted to Twitter. “I want to thank all my teammates for their love and support and great memories that I will never forget. I am forever grateful for this opportunity in my life. I have decided to enter the transfer portal and explore new opportunities.”

In addition to Robinson and Bradford, A&M will be missing seven other players from its roster this fall: leading scorer Emanuel Miller, guard Cashius McNeilly, forward Savion Flagg, guard Jay Jay Chandler, center Kevin Marfo, center Johnathan Aku and guard Jackson Young.

The Aggies finished the 2020-2021 season with an 8-10 overall record going 2-8 against conference opponents. The Aggies fell to Vanderbilt 79-68 in the first round of the SEC Tournament on March 10, and missed eight games during the season due to COVID-19 protocols.
