Clubs requiring proof of vaccine for entry - The Inquirer and Mirror

(Aug. 12, 2021) Three of the island's most popular entertainment venues are now requiring proof of vaccination, or a recent negative COVID-19 test, in order to gain entry.

The move goes a step beyond the town-required mask-mandate that went into effect last Thursday for all indoor public spaces.

The Chicken Box and Cisco Brewers announced the decision Monday morning and later in the day The Gaslight also announced a similar policy for anyone entering the establishment after 10 p.m. All three went into effect Tuesday.

“We are bringing in national touring acts that we probably would have lost if we hadn’t adopted a fully-vaccinated policy or proof of a negative test,” Gaslight owner Callie Kever said. “It’s the right thing to do and it adds an extra layer of protection given people are still allowed to be unmasked inside if they are seated and drinking.”
