ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Illinois State student-athletes have gained an important resource in their pursuit of opportunities related to name, image and likeness (NIL), as the Missouri Valley Conference has entered into a multi-year partnership with industry-leading content and compliance software company INFLCR that will provide all MVC institutions with the tools and technology necessary to support their student-athletes' NIL opportunities.
The three-tier platform will provide educational resources, brand-building techniques and a disclosure technology platform required in many states for each of the league's member schools. The new agreement will also provide the Conference's student-athletes with NIL education, tools, and technology as it relates to new opportunities and complexities from upcoming NIL legislation.
"We are excited to be able to provide our student-athletes with this crucial piece of support as we continue to navigate this new and uncharted NIL space," Illinois State Director of Athletics Kyle Brennan stated. "When NIL legislation was announced in July, we said we were going to assist our Redbird student-athletes in any way we could and work through this new opportunity for them as things progress in the future. This partnership between the MVC, its member schools and INFLCR will provide those key resources here at Illinois State for our student-athletes and we look forward to helping them maximize their opportunities through the platform."
INFLCR is the leading content and compliance software platform for college athletic programs, educating and preparing staff and student-athletes for new opportunities and guidelines from current NIL legislation, all powered by best-in-class content delivery via the INFLCR mobile app. INFLCR works with more than 2,100 collegiate and professional sports teams with a network of over 45,000 athlete users. INFLCR had previously worked with select member institutions of the Conference.

Through the INFLCR Verified platform, Redbird student-athletes will be provided with technology that will enhance their experience through personal story telling. INFLCR Verified will also equip Redbird student-athletes with a wide range of educational and financial resources to help optimize and monetize their personal brand through their name, image, and likeness. The INFLCR Verified platform also provides MVC athletic departments with robust compliance tools to enhance the student-athlete experience by offering a comprehensive solution for responsible brand-building on social media, as well as a fully compliant path to external commercial activity from NIL.

In August, the MVC Presidents Council adopted Conference-Level aspirational standards for NIL, and on June 30, the NCAA Division I Board of Directors adopted a temporary regulatory framework that provided Conferences and member institutions with a pathway to create NIL policies.
