Virginia Tech’s “Enter Sandman” entrance into Lane Stadium showed up on seismograph readings in Blacksburg on Friday night.

When Virginia Tech football storms onto the field with Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” blaring, it doesn’t just have opponents shaking in their boots. It causes literal earthquakes.

Reddit CFB pointed that out on Twitter after the Hokies upset victory over No. 10 North Carolina.

“Enter Sandman” caused a minor earthquake in Blacksburg

When you have 65,000 fans at Lane Stadium and they haven’t gotten to see Virginia Tech in person in over a year, you get an intense atmosphere.

The Hokies rode that energy from the crowd to a 17-10 victory. They overwhelmed UNC’s Sam Howell and forced three interceptions in a triumphant defensive performance befitting the earth shaking a bit.
