As homeless services across Boulder County prepare for a forecasted snowstorm ahead this week, Boulder Shelter for the Homeless reminded people that Coordinated Entry will still be required to receive services. However, grace nights will apply to those new to the shelter.

Boulder shelter Chief Executive Officer Greg Harms said in an email Thursday that while Coordinated Entry is still required for shelter services, if someone has not used the shelter before, they will receive grace nights until a Coordinated Entry assessment is available. The assessments are made available Monday to Friday.

To start the Coordinated Entry process, people who are in Longmont should call 303-579-7364 and people in Boulder should call 303-579-4404.

Homeless Solutions for Boulder County officials, a group of entities working to find a solution for homelessness, said it was rallying homeless services and encouraging them to share resources with clients in advance of the snowstorm. They released a list of available shelters in a news release Wednesday.

In Longmont, HOPE’s Kimberly Braun, director of development, encouraged anyone in need to call the shelter in advance at 720-494-4673. If the person doesn’t have a phone, they can go to the office, 804 S. Lincoln St., and talk with staff to get more information.
