Nevada’s Zane Meeks and Kane Milling enter the NCAA transfer portal - Mountain West Connection

Last week, Nevada forward Robby Robinson was the first Wolf Pack player to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Two more entered the portal Thursday: guard Kane Milling and forward Zane Meeks. Both announced on their decisions on their twitter accounts.

Nevada entered the offseason with 15 scholarship players on the roster for the 2021-22 season — two above the NCAA’s maximum scholarship allotment of 13. Robinson, Meeks and Milling entering the portal puts Nevada one below the maximum threshold.

Both Meeks and Milling have two years of eligibility remaining.

In Meeks’ two seasons with Nevada, he averaged 7.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game — shooting 44.6 percent from the floor, 36.2 percent from 3-point range and 76.4 from the free-throw line. The 7-footer averaged 9.0 points with a team-high 5.9 rebounds, shooting 47 percent and 35.8 percent from deep.

He had seven games in double figures, including a career-high 19 points on 5-of-9 shooting with eight rebounds on Feb. 2 versus UNLV.

Meeks played in 18 games, starting in 10 of them. He missed the team’s final five games due to knee tendonitis.

Milling was one of Nevada’s primary ballhandlers off the bench in his two years with the Pack. In 57 career contests (four starts), he is averaging 3.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 16.6 minutes — shooting 36 percent, 32.4 percent from beyond the arc and 63 percent from the charity stripe.

Last season, he averaged 4.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and one assist in 22.3 minutes per game. He shot 38.5 percent from the floor, 36.8 percent from 3-point range and 67.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Wolf Pack are a finalist for Robert Morris transfer AJ Bramah, who could fill that final scholarship spot. He narrowed his final four teams: Nevada, St. Bonaventure, Western Kentucky and Arizona State.

Bramah, who has one year of eligibility remaining, averaged 21.0 points and 10.3 rebounds on 51.1 percent shooting in a smaller 12-game sample size in the 2020-21 season. As a junior in 2019-20, Bramah earned All-Northeast conference second team honors — averaging 13.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.

He will make his decision on Friday, March 26.
