The Bruins and forward Curtis Hall came to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract beginning in the 2021-22 season and carrying a $925,000 cap hit at the NHL level, the team confirmed Monday.
A fourth-round (No. 119 overall) selection of the team of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Hall has appeared in one game for the P-Bruins this season, and had spent the previous two seasons in the ECAC, playing at Yale University. His 2019-20 was his best year with the Bulldogs, too, leading the team in both goals (17) and points (27) in 28 games played.
Overall, the 6-foot-4 forward totaled 22 goals and 38 points in his 52-game collegiate career.
Hall also represented Team USA at the 2019-20 World Junior Championship, where he scored one goal in five games for the Americans.
Prior to his one-game run in the AHL, at Yale and on the international stage, the Ohio-born Hall spent two seasons with the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL, where he totaled 20 goals and 52 points in 113 games over two seasons from 2016 through 2018.
Hall’s signing makes him the third member of the Bruins’ 2018 draft class to turn pro with the team, joining forwards Jakub Lauko and Pavel Shen. (The club’s top pick from that draft, second-round pick Axel Andersson, was traded to Anaheim in the Ondrej Kase deal last year, while sixth-round pick Dustyn McFaul is still playing at Clarkson University.)
