The entry list for the 6 Hours of Monza, round three of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship on 18 July sees a handful of changes to the now 37 car entry list.
That total is down from 38 in the provisional entry as a result of the #57 Kessel Racing Ferrari withdrawing from the race as a result of ongoing travel restrictions for some of the members of the crew, the #57 had been set to see a return of the collaboration between Kessel and Fuji-based Car Guy.
As reported on DSC last month, the full two car driver line-up for Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has been confirmed.
In the #709 car, Frenchman Franck Mailleux will compete alongside Romain Dumas and Richard Westbrook. Ryan Briscoe – who raced for the team at the previous round in Portimao – will sit this event out.
Meanwhile, in the sister #708 car, Pipo Derani, Olivier Pla and Gustavo Menezes have been listed to drive in Monza. The driver shuffle will allow all of the team’s drivers valuable seat-time ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
In LMP2, ARC Bratislava has confirmed that Silver-ranked driver Matej Konopka (son of team owner Miroslav Konopka) will compete in the #44 Ligier JSP217 Gibson entry.
Finally, the #61 AF Corse entry has added Toni Vilander (pictured top) to its line-up of drivers that will compete in the Ferrari 488 GTE Evo in Italy. It will be the Finn’s first WEC race outside of Le Mans since the Nurburgring in 2017!
