Inter-library Loan Service has also resumed today. You may place reserves on items from other libraries.
We will begin our next phase (browsing appointments, computer appointments, notary and passport appointments) beginning July 9. We will start taking appointments on Monday, June 29. Please call (631) 288-3335 and press 4 for Adult Services and press 6 for Children/Teen Services. Please do not call before Monday, June 29 to make an appointment as we will not be ready for you.
Important Points to Consider:
- You will be required to wear a mask (over the age of 2) and your temperature will be taken. You will be refused entry for not wearing a mask or if your temperature exceeds 100.4
- Only parties from the same household may enter the Library to a maximum of 10 people.
- This is a browse and go phase. You will not be able to use the Library to sit and read, or use the toys etc.
- Patrons will receive a timer. Appointments will only be 15 mins.
- There will only be 3 adult computers available. Computer appointments are limited to 30 mins. If there is no one waiting, your time may be extended. There will be no children's computers at this time. We may add laptops in the future.
- Adult Department appointments will be from the side door in our parking lot where curbside is taking place and will exit out the garden gate. Adult items will be checked out at the circulation desk or self check-out.
- Children/Teen appointments will be from the side stairwell near Starr Boggs and exit the same. There will be no stroller access, but we will have stroller parking. Children's items will be checked out in the children's department.
- There will be staff to guide patrons into areas.
- Curbside appointments will still be available for those patrons not wishing to come into the Library to browse.
- Browsing Appointments will be the same hours as curbside appointments:
Monday- Friday 10:00am to 2:00pm
Saturday Noon to 3:00pm
Sunday 11:00am to 2:00pm
As the Library begins to reopen, we're pleased to be able to resume offering our notary and passport application services again.
Beginning Thursday, July 9, notary services will be available by appointment only:
Monday-Friday 10:00am-2:00pm
Saturday Noon to 2:00pm
Sunday 11:00am to 2:00pm
Passport application services will also be available by appointment only:
Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from Noon to 2:00pm
Please call (631) 288-3335 to make an appointment beginning Monday, June 29. Again, please do not call us before then as we will not be ready for you. Please contact the circulation desk (option 3) for notary appointments and the reference desk for passport appointments (option 4).
It has been 100 days since we closed our physical doors on March 16, 2020 due to Covid-19. We still remain digitally open!
