ALBANY, N.Y. (WHCU) – Governor Cuomo’s done away with the state’s Travel Advisory List and has introduced an Entry Testing mandate as its replacement.
With testing turnaround times much faster than they were in the early days of the pandemic, and nearly all states in the nation now qualifying for the Travel Advisory list, the new entry testing mandate will hopefully relax some travel restrictions while still keeping New Yorkers safe.
People coming into New York must show proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within three days of their arrival, then quarantine for three days, then finally must show proof of an additional negative Covid-19 test.
It’s currently unclear how the measure will be enforced.
