Yours will be more current than the fascinating historic photos posted below, but the La Porte County Historical Society Museum offers them as incentive for you to enter its “Livin’ the Lake Life” photo contest. Photographers both novice and professional are invited to submit original color photos of scenes or activities at any lake in La Porte County. The deadline for submissions is 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, with judging results to be announced Saturday, Sept. 4. Images will be displayed in the museum through September, so come by and see your work! For full photo submission guidelines, ask for a form at the museum, located at 2405 Indiana Ave., La Porte, or call 219-324-6767.
