BRANFORD — What better way to celebrate autumn than scarecrows and home-baked pies?
The Branford Garden Club will host the 11th annual “Scarecrows on The Green” event Oct. 15 through Nov. 2 on the Branford Green.
This beloved Branford tradition will feature creative and seasonal displays by local businesses, organizations and individuals. A donation is requested for participation.
A major garden club fundraiser, all proceeds will contribute to the beautification of Branford. A few of the club’s many projects include: Baskets on the Green, the Pollinator Project, civic development and the maintenance of many Town gardens.
Coinciding with the Scarecrows will be the third annual Fall Pie Festival on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. A variety of pies, baked by club members, will be offered for sale.
