The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action just three days after Sunday afternoon’s race in Atlanta, heading north to Martinsville Speedway in Virginia for a Wednesday night event.
It’s the premier tour’s 11th race of 2020 and seventh since racing resumed after the coronavirus pandemic stopping on-track action for about two months. 40 drivers are entered for the race, meaning all will start the event unless there are changes to the entry list.
Reed Sorenson enters his second straight race in Tommy Baldwin Racing’s No. 7, which he brought home in 37th on Sunday.
No driver has been announced for Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 Chevrolet. JJ Yeley piloted that car at Atlanta. Yeley is instead listed for Rick Ware Racing’s No. 27, which Josh Bilicki drove on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Joey Gase returns to the No. 51 for RWR, while Garrett Smithley will again drive the team’s No. 53.
