CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - The GEO group confirmed there are 96 Wyoming Department of Corrections Residents and four staff members who tested positive for COVID-19.

An inmate at the Casper re-entry center who will remain anonymous said inmates there are not getting the correct care they need or supplies to stay safe.

“They’re not getting us cleaning supplies and we have big bags of trash in our rooms as we speak,” the inmate said.

The re-entry center is operated by the GEO Group Inc. They provided a statement sent in an email by Monica Hook, GEO Cares Communications VP:

He says they want to be treated properly. “They should be taking care of us we should be getting medical care. We have COVID-19,” he said.
