Jaylen Moody was projected to transfer to Texas, but a report from Bama OnLine suggests that the one-time former Alabama linebacker will return to the Crimson Tide.
Moody recorded an interception in the season opener against Miami this past season, and returned it 13 yards. He finished the year with 11 total tackles, and one interception as he played mostly on special teams by the end of the season. Across 4 years at Alabama, Moody totaled 44 tackles, one forced fumble and one interception.
Moody is from Conway, South Carolina, and came out of high school as a 3-star prospect who was ranked as the No. 32 inside linebacker nationally by 247Sports and was the site’s No. 11 player in the state of South Carolina. He chose Alabama over Arkansas, Kentucky and Ole Miss.
Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports projected Moody to transfer to Texas, but that appears to not be the case.

Last season, Moody totaled 18 tackles, including half a tackle for loss, and also added one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He was selected as one of the defensive players of the week by the Alabama coaches for his play at Arkansas.
