Kaulig Sets Driver Schedule For No. 16 Entry - SPEED SPORT - SPEED SPORT

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Kaulig Racing officials have announced the driver schedule for the team’s No. 16 NASCAR Cup Series entry.

Three drivers – A.J. Allmendinger, Noah Gragson and Daniel Hemric – are scheduled to split time in the car. Justin Haley is scheduled to drive the team’s second full-time entry, the No. 31 Chevrolet, for the full NASCAR Cup Series season.

Allmendinger will begin the season in the No. 16 Chevrolet during the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum on Feb. 6 at the Los Angeles (Calif.) Memorial Coliseum. In total, Allmendinger is scheduled to compete in 16 NASCAR Cup Series races. 

The veteran competitor, who races full-time for Kaulig in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, will also compete at Phoenix Raceway (March 13), Circuit of the Americas (March 27), Richmond Raceway (April 3), Martinsville Speedway (April 9), Dover Motor Speedway (May 1), World Wide Technology Raceway (June 5), Sonoma Raceway (June 12), Nashville Superspeedway (June 26), Road America (July 3), New Hampshire Motor Speedway (July 17), the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course (July 31), Watkins Glen International (Aug. 21), Bristol Motor Speedway (Sept. 17) and the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL (Oct. 9).

Allmendinger will also represent Kaulig Racing in the NASCAR All-Star Race on May 22 at Texas Motor Speedway. Allmendinger is guaranteed to start the All-Star Race thanks to his victory last year at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course.

Gragson is scheduled to compete in 14 NASCAR Cup Series events for Kaulig Racing. He’ll make his first start for the team at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 20.

Additional races on Gragson’s schedule are the Bristol Motor Speedway dirt race (April 17), Kansas Speedway (May 15), Charlotte Motor Speedway (May 29), Atlanta Motor Speedway (July 10), Pocono Raceway (July 24), Michigan Int’l Speedway (Aug. 7), Richmond Raceway (Aug. 14), Kansas Speedway (Sept. 11), Texas Motor Speedway (Sept. 25), Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Oct. 16), Homestead-Miami Speedway (Oct. 23), Martinsville Speedway (Oct. 30) and Phoenix Raceway (Nov. 6).

Lastly, Hemric will launch the season in the No. 16 Chevrolet by competing in the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 20. That also includes the annual Bluegreen Vacations Duel At Daytona on Feb. 17, which sets the field for the Daytona 500. 

Other races that Hemric is scheduled to compete includes Auto Club Speedway (Feb. 27), Las Vegas Motor Speedway (March 6), Talladega Superspeedway (April 24 and Oct. 2), Darlington Raceway (May 8 and Sept. 4) and Daytona International Speedway (Aug. 27).
